TBird Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 Says it's full of errors, inaccuracies and misunderstandings. They will address each one sometime next week but they have a game tomorrow. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Ravens-Release-Statement-On-ESPN-Article/be5fc771-e2ff-433f-bcb7-7854b73e6524 Quote
tsylvester Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 Based on what we, as outsiders have seen by their actions, their own mispeaks (if you listen closely) I will take the report over the spin of the Ravens. The report just makes more sense. Quote
ravinmaniac52 Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 Newsome, meanwhile, said Rice never told him a different version of what happened in February. "What we saw on the video was what Ray said," Newsome said. "Ray didn't lie to me. He didn't lie to me." http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000392742/article/ravens-gm-ozzie-newsome-ray-rice-didnt-lie-to-me Quote

The report just makes more sense. Agreed. Most importantly, it shouldn't take three days and the excuse of a game (that the owner and front office aren't suiting up for) to reply with what those "inaccuracies" are. The only way that it makes sense would be if Bisciotti, Cass, or someone is preparing a press conference for it to ACTUALLY respond and/or admit guilt. Quote

Remember, before the story broke, Biscut called two mandatory circle the wagon meetings, so I have little doubt, what ever they plan to say next week, was done earlier this week, they just got beat tothe punch by ESPN, thus, the Byrne statement. I am thinking a statement will be made with no questions from the media. Quote
dc. Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 They will do a full blitz as in the last few times... a written statement or letter, a public statement with no questions, an interview with a controlled reporter, a presser to round it out... It's actually a fine strategy, but all the same misdirection. Layers of stories and information that build in different ways. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 I think people have caught on to the limiting of media and how it is misdirection. I think they will be called on it lioke they were when Steve made the 2 interviews a week ago. Quote
