thundercleetz Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Vikings choose CB Chris Cook out of UVA. He was definitely one of our targets. We pick 11th and 25th in the second round, and 6th in the third round. Let's see what happens.
SpearSrai Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 My list: Tate, Benn, Cody, Gronkowski, Kindle, Dunlap, Griffin, Mays
SpearSrai Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 If Jimmy Clausen is such a turd, then Golden Tate's stock must be rising, right? And did Paul Kruger just get drafted by Miami under a pseudonym? Edit: Please, Lord, let me have heard of whoever we take at #43...
vmax Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Hi everybody..just got home...just in time! Yea...Cleveland took a guy they could have got in the 4th round.
ForceEight Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Fucking Patriots. They are the foil of the draft for us. Every year.
SpearSrai Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Saw that pick coming as soon as New England traded up. Now things get exciting.
SpearSrai Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Whoa, we got that pick in quick... Which meant it had to be Kindle. Whoa, nelly.
ForceEight Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 We might have just picked up a star. But he's got some serious injuries that we have to hope against.
cravnravn Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 I thought for sure we were taking that fat fuck Cody.
vmax Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Good! Another animal. Can't have enough of those on D.
SpearSrai Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 We might have just picked up a star. But he's got some serious injuries that we have to hope against. Gronkowski had his share of medical concerns as well, and I wonder what happens if he doesn't go one pick before us.
REEDPIXOFF Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 If Kindle is healthy I love it. Just the pass rusher we needed to complement Suggs.
cravnravn Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Fucking Pats took our guy. Why, he hasnt played in a year, and he has back issues, we have that with Heap now.
ForceEight Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Gronkowski had his share of medical concerns as well, and I wonder what happens if he doesn't one pick before us.Agreed. Kindle's are simply less documented, and he's not exactly completely past them.
vmax Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 I thought for sure we were taking that fat fuck Cody. He'll be around in the 3rd round.
thundercleetz Posted April 23, 2010 Author Posted April 23, 2010 Risky pick, not usually Ozzie's style. I know it is not fair to think this way, but I cannot help but think of our other second round picks Dan Cody and Paul Kruger with this pick.
SpearSrai Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 At this rate, we're going to get another top 40 guy at #25 of the second round.
vmax Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Risky pick, not usually Ozzie's style. I know it is not fair to think this way, but I cannot help but think of our other second round picks Dan Cody and Paul Kruger with this pick. I hear you cleetz,,,thought the same thing...let's think Jamasl Lewis instead...
cravnravn Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 He'll be around in the 3rd round. Leaveland picks before us, we're safe
vmax Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Height:6′3″Weight:250 lbs.Arm Length:33 1/4 in.Hand Size:10 in.College:Texas NFL.com OverviewKindle is a two-year starter for the Longhorns as a defensive end but many will try and project him to outside linebacker in the NFL. He has a good combination of length and athleticism but lacks the bulk needs to be an effective run defender at the next level. He has been a disruptive force penetrating the line of scrimmage in the Longhorns 4-3 front. Kindle runs well but doesn’t have elite speed or range for a stand up player and will need lots of work developing his coverage techniques and awareness. He is inconsistent using his hands to maintain leverage on his opponent and will need to improve in this area both as a pass rusher as well as run defender. Kindle does play hard and has a frame to add at least 20 pounds, which bodes well for his potential as a special team’s contributor as well being utilized as a backup linebacker or edge rusher in sub packages.
SpearSrai Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Risky pick, not usually Ozzie's style. I know it is not fair to think this way, but I cannot help but think of our other second round picks Dan Cody and Paul Kruger with this pick. Gresham sat out all year, Gronkowski has a bent spine, Cody is too fat and lazy, Kindle has a bad knee, Demaryius can't run routes and broke his foot, Bryant has 'emotional baggage'... No matter who we took, it was going to be 'risky'. The fact of the matter is, Kindle is a high-first-round talent, and Dan Cody/Paul Kruger were not.
vmax Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 He'll be around in the 3rd round. Leaveland picks before us, we're safe
