ufsrj2 Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 Hello, ufsrj2 here. I am a Saints fan but have always enjoyed your team as well. There have been some great games in the past. Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum! Look forward to great discussion in the future. BTW - Ravens are a great team that has only gotten much better with this offseason... Should be relatively unstoppable in 2010! Quote
papasmurfbell Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 I am so happy you stopped The Dolts. Also you keep the argument that Peyton is overrated alive. Quote
millz58 Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Howdy usfrj2japwijj@$#%^Rs9d (sorry, fingers slipped); I seem to recall a game way back a few years at Ravens' stadium where Aaron Brooks torched us a bit; I more recall having many beers taken out of my jacket on the way into the stadium, and then after the game missing the bus back home, wandering up to Pickles calling my wife on the old Nokia... long night.................. Anyhoo, congrats to the Saints, great story, team, and championship. I still feel badly for Manning and his ill-timed pick-6. No way for a champion to go down, but hey, tha's how it goes. Quote

That was my first Ravens game, too. Quote
millz58 Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 I was there! That was my first Ravens game, too.cool; there was a bus-load of us (junket-type ride) that had a cookout under the overpass, and a bunch of us tried to sneak in many cans of beer. My dumb mistake was (besides being loaded) was trying to bring in some stupid-long plastic horn that I bought outside the stadium, so naturally I was accosted and searched by the stadium guards (I couldn't bring that big horn into the stadium and when I protested I was searched), and had to relinquish many beverages (imagine a grown man throwing up his hands, eyebrows raised, incredulous as a busted teeneager). But the best thing was, my predicament provided enough interference for about 6 of my buddies to glide in (beers stored), and we still managed to party down. anyway, by the end of the game I had to go to the bathroom badly, got caught up in the human out-flow, and missed the bus back to parkville. My wife was PEEEE-ISSED, lemme tell ya. Quote
millz58 Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 I was there! That was my first Ravens game, too.recreate my memory, was it this one...?http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/recap?gameId=221208033 edit: of course it was (that 2002 home loss to Aaron Brooks and Deuce McAllister Saints), cuz we beat NO down there w/McNair in 2006, we had a couple pick-6's, dawan landry had one of them. Well, the Saints get to come back up to Baltimore this season, should prove interesting... Quote
ForceEight Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 It was! The only thing about that game I really remember is Blake and the Ravens going towards the locker room at halftime, until the Saints called a timeout (the clock hadn't yet hit :00) and made them run another play. Quote

Should be relatively unstoppable in 2010! Welcome ufsrj2! I actually lived in New Orleans the past two years having just graduated from Tulane earlier this month. It was an amazing experience being in New Orleans when the Saints won the Super Bowl (although I would say it was more crazy when they won the NFC Championship two weeks prior). Having seen almost every Saints game the past two years, the team really grew on me. Those Saints fan love their football team like no other! It was good to see them win the Super Bowl, it was even better seeing them beat the Colts for us! Quote
