cravnravn Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 A toddler lost in the Virginia woods was back home safe Sunday thanks to two puppies who kept him warm through a harrowing night of freezing temperatures. Jaylynn Thorpe, 3, wandered away from his baby-sitter at 4 p.m. Friday and was missing for 21 hours as hundreds of friends, family and law enforcement officials searched for him in the thick woods of Halifax County, fearing the worst. "The only thing we wanted to do was just keep searching until we found him," Halifax County Sheriff Stanley Noblin told reporters. Jaylynn's frantic family knew time was not on its side. more Quote
Spen Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 That's nothing. My dog protects me and my house from UPS and garbage trucks all the time. If he wasn't here....I don't want to think what would happen... *shudder* Quote
83eh01 Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 How do you lose a kid in the woods? The babysitter won't be allowed to do so anymore. She was probably on her cell phone talking about stupid stuff. Quote
ForceEight Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Anyone see the story about the dog who pulled the other dog out of a highway median, or something? I caught a glimpse of it on Inside Edition (or whatever it was that was on after the game last night). Didn't stay to watch, but it looked amazing. Quote
