Guest BallTMore Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 They made a play! My heart is going to explode.
revolution Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Tell me about it. I downed some peptobismol about 25 minutes ago.
vmax Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 yougottabeshitingme! Josh Fucking Wilson! and the Ravens live to fight another day.
revolution Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Our offense better get their crap together and control the clock big time against the Saints this Sunday. There's no way our defense can stay out on the field that long and win against the Saints.
vmax Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Ngata brought the pressure and hurried Slob...you can't throw 60 times without something bad happening.
ForceEight Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 I'm more angry this week than I was last week.
thundercleetz Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 The weakness of this team is not the pass rush, not the secondary, not Flacco, it's the offensive line. The offensive line can't allow us to run the ball, they can't block for Flacco, and God forbid a safety comes to the line to blitz. The secondary and pass rush are tried because Rice can't run and Flacco is running for his ass 90% of the time giving us 8 play drives. 1
revolution Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 I don't think it's just the offensive line though. It's pretty much the same line that we had last year. The game plan is just not allowing the running game to get in sync. And we seem to go with the pass on 3rd and short every time now. The only time we don't is when it's less than a yard and we do a quick FB rush to McClain. Every damn time. It's predictable that Cam is going to do things that go contrary to the norm. Which isn't good.

OutsideRzAcE Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 I don't know how no one noticed this sooner. Yup - DC you wanted to know why we can't shut down a game with an 8-10 minute drive like we did last year? It's because we can't. Our inability to run the ball was more evident in this game than in any other game this season. They really tried to establish a running game, especially in the 2nd half, but there was just nothing there. The coaches have said time and time again that they have the same amount of run attempts as they did last year. We don't have a line that can dig in, impose their will and break an opponents spirit at the end of a game like we did last year. But the oline is just one problem. The defense....the inconsistent pass rush has reared it's ugly head again. At the risk of oversimplifying....if Suggs isn't playing out of his mind, it seems our defense is pedestrian.
yagersports Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 We didn't dial up one blitz in the second half. Houston meanwhile blitzed, blitzed, and blitzed again. No overload, no cb blitz, no safety blitz. Shaub will pick apart any defense that rushes only three and four repeatedly. That's not rocket science.

When the offense can't run the ball that's what happens.
