If anything the reason you run on that down is so that even if you don't make the 1st down you're taking time off the clock. We gave them 35-45 seconds by not running. We gave them 35-45 seconds by not running. I understand that, but if you want to be a team that contends for a SB you have to be able to pick up that 3rd and 2 on a play like that. I don't like the result, but I like the aggressiveness. I remember in the AFC championship game a couple seasons ago, the Steelers iced it by spreading us out and passing it on 3rd and 2.
