RavenMad Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 He will be a Redshirt Sophmore next year so will be eligible for the 2018 draft. Silver lining if we suck again next year, we might be able to get Sam Darnold. I wouldn't go chasing a QB in 2017 as some have suggested. There will be better options in 2018. This guy has some of the best pocket presence I have ever seen. He does a great job of keeping his eyes down field as he moves around in the pocket and then escapes when he needs to. He has a ligtning quick release and a strong arm. Some of the throws he made against Penn State in the Rose Bowl were elite NFL throws. There are a lot of QBs starting in the NFL right now couldn't have made that final TD pass in the Rose Bowl. The only fault that some have is where his throwing motion starts from (it's a little low) but I can't see any fault in his accuracy and velocity. Quote
tsylvester Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 The Rose Bowl was the only game I saw him play and yes, wow! Even so, there is no guarantee he comes out next year, and I would love to see how he does with a full year as the starter. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 Yeah I would not go jumping this draft. Quote
