vmax Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 We know who the defense is and who's on special teams. We have a good idea how those units will perform. As far as the offense goes it's been so long since we've seen them, and so long since that unit has been together, that they may as well be ghosts. These players are faded memories. We know nothing about this unit. Will Joe be able to shake the rust off and get on the same page with his receivers? Will he be able to throw accurately and deep? Can he take a hit or will he get knocked out for 3-4 games? We don't know. Nobody's seen him. Can West take the load? He's not Jamal Lewis or Ray Rice. We haven't seen him.We don't know. How will the tight ends do? Who will start. Are they in the game plan?We don't know. We haven't seen them. No fullback. Just an open grave that some new spirit named Ricard is going to hop out of. The O line. All ghosts who haven't played together in a long time with faces we haven't seen. They've been summoned from the mists and resurrected 8 days before the season started. What can this offensive unit do?We don't know and neither do the Bengals. Welcome to the 2017 Ravens. The Ghost season. Quote
oldno82 Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Cool write-up Max and very true. The O will be a 'work in progress' perhaps for the whole season. The defense is stout and the special teams are, well, special. There is a lot to be digested about the offense including will the O-line be able to protect Joe who might be becoming fragile? Quote
BengalBilly Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 Cincinnati. Two "n", one "t". As far as the game tomorrow, who the hell knows. I'm not very confident in my team either. Quote
