varaven45 Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 Its way too early but come Spring 2018, I want this dude in our backfield !!!! https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwitvsazmLnWAhVH-2MKHRHnDucQFghSMAA&url=http%3A%2F%2F247sports.com%2FPlayer%2FSaquon-Barkley-35574&usg=AFQjCNHi8Kd1LHjq-NK-L3vhEC_pN46V1g. papasmurfbell Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 I am looking at the mocks. He looks like a consensus top 10. Would the Ravens be that bad to get him? Also I do not believe in RBs in the first round. Quote

varaven45 Posted October 2, 2017 Author Posted October 2, 2017 Unless we draft QB in 1st; we get this guy. Since drafting No 31 in 2000, we haven't had a true sledgehammer; a franchise runner. We get this gut while fixing the rest of offensive mess. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 RBs are easy to find lower. Also they break down fast so after 4 yrs that 1st round pick is on the trash pile. That pick should go to a QB, WR, or OL. Quote
tsylvester Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 For all his power while lifting weights, he rarely shows it on the field. Sure, he is shifty and fast, great hands & vision, but let some other team take him top 10, have him for 3-5 years if he stays healthy..... Nope, plenty of other backs and plenty of other needs. Give me Calvin Ridley any day... Quote
varaven45 Posted October 10, 2017 Author Posted October 10, 2017 With all of our needs on offense, he's probably a luxury we cannot afford to draft. . I love watching the Fournettes dominate the opposing team like this past Sunday in Pittsburgh. Call me old school, but I'd still like a hammer in our backfield - something we haven't had since No. 31. Quote

Baltimore Ravens Saquon Barkley, RB, Penn State. Based on the hype, another relative tumble for Barkley, a drop only precipitated by the position he plays and the depth of this draft class, not his overall talent. The Ravens would be ecstatic to land the insanely gifted runner here. Quote
varaven45 Posted December 22, 2017 Author Posted December 22, 2017 That is what I'm talking about !!! Quote
papasmurfbell Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 If they do it I think you will regret it in 4 yrs. Quote
tsylvester Posted December 24, 2017 Posted December 24, 2017 Please no, there are a number of backs they can get in this draft later in the rounds. The two back they have now are good enough, under contract for cheap. He is a great back but cam be shut down easily, but he will cost a bunch. Quote
