Here’s a rundown of the proposals that will be reviewed:1. By Competition Committee: Makes permanent the playing rule that changes the spot of the next snap after a touchback resulting from a free kick to the 25-yard line.2. By Competition Committee: Changes standard for a catch.3. By Competition Committee: Makes the penalties for Illegal Batting & Kicking the same.4. By Los Angeles Chargers: Amends Rule 15, Section 2, Article 5 to add fouls for roughing the passer and fouls against players in a defenseless posture as reviewable plays in the instant replay system.5. By Washington: Amends Rule 15, Section 2, Article 5 to add review of personal fouls as reviewable plays in the instant replay system What is the actual wording for the catch? Also will they review called roughing the passer calls that aren't really penalties. I saw a bunch of them last yr. Quote
tsylvester Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 Love the rule changes, though a catch will still be a catch to someone but not all... I think the review is only if the penalty is called papa. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted March 26, 2018 Author Posted March 26, 2018 I was interpreting it as if they don't call it and they can bring it after the fact. Quote
tsylvester Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 " to add fouls" good "catch" I read that wrong.. Quote
tsylvester Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 Catch rule approved, keeping control while going to the ground never applies. Quote
