Indianapolis: According to league sources the injury occurred immediately following his post game press conference where he called out Vic Fangio for having a conservative game plan. Vic was seen on top of him choking him.

Look, I've been dealing with injuries to my neck and spine for years. When the discs inflame, all hell breaks loose with my nerves....

 

Joe did get smashed a few times in that game & even had treatment in his neck during the game. So yeah, I can buy the disc inflamming and taking an hour, a day to show, cause sympstoms... While I agree with what he said about his coach, he should not have said it openly..
