Liz Cheney is a true Patriot. She is standing up to a very large group of grifters and liars and they are a vindictive and threatening group.

Quote

"We can't embrace the notion the election is stolen. It's a poison in the bloodstream of our democracy," Cheney reportedly said at a retreat in Georgia on Monday for the conservative think tank American Enterprise Institute, according to CNN, citing two people in the room.

"We can't whitewash what happened on January 6 or perpetuate Trump's big lie. It is a threat to democracy. What he did on January 6 is a line that cannot be crossed," Cheney added.

"The 2020 presidential election was not stolen. Anyone who claims it was is spreading THE BIG LIE, turning their back on the rule of law, and poisoning our democratic system,".............Cheney at donor retreat says Trump's actions 'a line that cannot be crossed': report (msn.com)

She has very little support amoung republican congressman yet here's one sane voice....

Quote

Asked by The Hill newspaper about efforts to remove Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney from Republican Party leadership because of her vote to impeach former President Donald Trump, here's what Gonzalez said:

"If a prerequisite for leading our conference is continuing to lie to our voters, then Liz is not the best fit. Liz isn't going to lie to people. Liz is going to say what she believes. She's going to stand on principle. And if that's going to be distracting for folks, she's not the best fit. I wish that weren't the case."

Uh, wow.

Just to reiterate: This is a REPUBLICAN member of Congress elected in 2018 in the heart of the Trump era who is saying publicly that many in his party continue to lie to voters, while Cheney does not...The single most damning quote about the state of the GOP (msn.com)

This is where the Republican Party is now.......

Quote

What Gonzalez's quote lays bare is that admission to the current Republican Party is predicated on whether or not you believe a lie about the 2020 election.

If you say the election was stolen, contra evidence, or are willing to sit silently by while the 45th President and his allies make a series of false claims about 2020, you're good to go as an accepted member of the Republican Party.

If you won't lie about the election -- based on objective facts -- then you are booed or threatened with being thrown out of the GOP.

The Point: This isn't how political parties act. It's how cults (of personality) act.

Cruz openly publishes this admittance to Republican graft.

Quote

Cruz faced a backlash to the column for suggesting that, "this time," he and other Republican lawmakers would stop offering corporations potentially unethical tax breaks and other multibillion-dollar exemptions in return for financial contributions to their political causes.

"This is the point in the drama when Republicans usually shrug their shoulders, call these companies 'job creators,' and start to cut their taxes. Not this time," Cruz wrote in the op-ed.

"This time, we won't look the other way on Coca-Cola's $12 billion in back taxes owed."

"This time, when Major League Baseball lobbies to preserve its multibillion-dollar antitrust exception, we'll say no thank you. This time, when Boeing asks for billions in corporate welfare, we'll simply let the Export-Import Bank expire." Ted Cruz's threat to 'woke CEOs' was 'the most openly corrupt thing any Senator has said,' ethics expert says (msn.com)

This may be the most openly corrupt thing any Senator has said. It's the part everyone knows: these crooks sell access. Others have the sense not to admit it. This is why our republic is broken. Immoral politicians selling power we've entrusted to them like it's theirs to sell. Ted Cruz's threat to 'woke CEOs' was 'the most openly corrupt thing any Senator has said,' ethics expert says (msn.com)

So why isn't McCarthy or Cheney asked about if it's true that they sell benefits to companies for campaign cash like Cruz is insinuating? There are lots of gop politicians to ask about this.   Why doesn't the press ask them all? How many dem politicians did they ask about al Franken with the pic? Bc that doesn't hurt their profits.

What's shocking is that Cancun Cruz openly admits to what we've know has been going on for 150 years or more.

I mean...America's an Oligarchy right?

I get it.  But the press is supposed to start asking questions now.  Why aren't they?

Btw the oligarchy has not been like this the whole time.  TR broke up trusts.  Fdrwent right at corporate interests. But since Reagan was elected regardless of party it has been more corporate entrenchment in political power.

Chaney's out. We saw that coming. Swearing fealty to the Constitution, Democracy and the Citizens of the United States is a bad thing for Republican's. You must swear fealty to Trump and his Big Lie or they will get rid of you.

They were so spineless and scared that they did this in a closed meeting with no ballot or vote tally. They did not want the public to know their names or what numbers were against her ouster. In short, they were ashamed of their behavior and allegiance to the Big Lie.

They booed her too, as the shame of the Big Lie, that they have consistently supported and pushed, dripped down their lying faces. They have been supporting the Lie so long that they will not admit the truth for to do so would be a public admittance that they are liars. Like all liars, trapped in their lie, they think to continue push and spin an alternate fantasy reality. Like The Emperors New Clothes. If they once had good names and character, then now they have shit all over that. This stain they will wear through the rest of their life no matter how much they deny it.

The Republican Party is a shit show.

Interesting development....

More than 100 Republicans, including former governors and lawmakers, are threatening to form a third party if the GOP doesn't split from Trump...

The group, which includes former governors and lawmakers, plans to release a letter outlining the threat on Thursday.

The preamble to the statement, published by The New York Times, says: "When in our democratic republic, forces of conspiracy, division, and despotism arise, it is the patriotic duty of citizens to act collectively in defense of liberty and justice."...More than 100 Republicans, including former governors and lawmakers, are threatening to form a third party if the GOP doesn't split from Trump (msn.com)

It won't be long before the party collapses.

How can people vote for this embarrassing, shit show Circus of Untruth? It boggles my mind. I would be ashamed to admit to my children that I supported this party.
