If you sign him then during the draft you do not need to find that outside pass rusher nearly as bad. I heard he was cut so that they could resign him long term to get round the current salary rules. We could probably have done something like this to get Ngata signed. Besides that, Hawk is not a pass rusher. We would still need pass rush help early in the draft. Signing Hawk would mean that we wouldn't need to go after someone like Casey Matthews in the 3rd round.
yagersports Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 Hawk would have been a great signing in order to move Ray outside, ray would be a beast outside. I know, I know, nobody is a fan of that move, but I'm telling everyone, at this point in Ray's career he can do more damage from the outside rather than the inside.
