deeshopper Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 The Ravens declined linebacker Patrick Queen's fifth-year option on Monday, which will make the promising 23-year-old a free agent after this season. The team had until Tuesday to make a decision on the option, which would have cost $12.77 million. https://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/bs-sp-linebacker-patrick-queen-fifth-year-option-declined-20230501-jgypvdsctnaqzih47faab4njnu-story.html?fbclid=IwAR1ZF-3F6VNvopEgfzY6LSsOgfMCSOwxnTrfmmcTIkYDwGPVXUf2RdA2GE0 Quote
tsylvester Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 Good move, he will work hard, play hard to earn a big contract next year and get the team a comp pick. He is easily replaceable Quote
oldno82 Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 I liked Queen, especially after Roquan came here and lifted up Queen's play. But we need a CB badly and will probably have to get a FA who won't come cheap. Queen's 12.7mil cap hit if he had been extended can be better used on a CB. Hopefully, EDC has a plan. Quote
tsylvester Posted May 3, 2023 Posted May 3, 2023 As you called it, Rock is going to sign a 1 year deal here... worth up to 6 mil according to Shefty Quote
oldno82 Posted May 4, 2023 Posted May 4, 2023 If Rock produces as he normally does, this will be a tough team to beat. And with Monken coaching the offense, I think the excitement will return to B'more this fall. Quote
tsylvester Posted May 4, 2023 Posted May 4, 2023 Yep, it is shaping up well. Can they stay healthy? I would love to see then bring back Fuller, if he is healed. Great player & teamate. Quote
