tsylvester Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 Last night a Niners player who had been starting while the regular starter was recovering from injury, refused to go in as a back up when said player came back to starting. We know about what happened here, but I do not recall, other than Corey Dillion back in the 2000's ever doing this. This guy, Devendra Cambell, actually walked into the locker. Man, today's players are soft, physically, mentally compared to how it use to be. Quote
tsylvester Posted December 14, 2024 Author Posted December 14, 2024 Which team do you think handled it better, the Ravens or the Niners? Niner players were out in force denouncing their teammate, while the Ravens players were in support of their's. Harbs was clearly perturbed but kept to the script of being closed mouthed. While Shanahan was openly critical of his player, even coming very close to saying his playing days for the Niners were over. Quote

tsylvester Posted January 6 Author Posted January 6 Give up a 1st, 2nd, & 6th, sign Hill to a 4 year, $120 mil, ($25 mil signing bonus) then 2 years later, to keep him happy, for an additional 3 years, $90 mil, $65 mil guaranteed, plus his previous contract guarantees which gives him $106.5 mil guaranteed, and less than, or maybe to the day, 5 months later he says, (right after a disappointing game and season ends) that he wants out of Miami. Wow, mkay, sure thing buddy. He is no AB in attitude, who has mental illness, he is without a doubt and incredibly fast wide out with shimmy, decent, not great hands, but dependable. I have to admit, having him in Bmore would be tantalizing, but then Lamar is not great with deep, deep passes and then of course there is the cap hit. Miami would incur a $27 mil cap hit and carry $55 mil in dead money if cut or released this year. However, there may be, as is being reported, language in his contract that would allow the Phins to quash any remaining guaranteed money Dolphins to wipe out his remaining guarantees. It also could allow the Dolphins to pursue partial repayment of more than $24 million in signing bonus and roster bonus money received in 2024. What a mess this could be Quote
