papasmurfbell
http://www.pressboxo...ory.cfm?id=8869 OUT: Defensive end Cory Redding (Indianapolis)IN: Defensive end Michael McAdoo McAdoo and running back Damien Berry were the only players on the season-ending roster born during the 1990s.McAdoo, a 6-foot-7, 245-pounder, left the University of North Carolina after its off-field problems made him academically ineligible, and he made the Ravens' active roster before being put on injured reserve (knee). He is fast around the edge and put plenty of pressure on opposing quarterbacks in college, even though he didn't record many sacks.OUT: Cornerback Chris Carr (Minnesota)IN: Cornerback Danny GorrerAs the NFL becomes more pass-happy, teams are deploying three- and four-wide receiver sets on most, if not all, downs. The AFC North is no exception, even though Cleveland has yet to catch up with the rest of its competition.Still, nickel- and dime-package corners are needed, and Gorrer brings a 6-foot, 185-pound frame and above-average closing speed to the position. He won't be out-muscled by bigger receivers, as Carr sometimes was, and he can stay with someone in space, even if that receiver comes out of the slot. I totally forgot about McAdoo. He could be devastating. He solves a lot of issues.
RavenMad
I don't see him as a replacement for Redding though. He is more of a 3-4 OLB or 4-3 DE where Redding was more of a DT/3-4 DE. Jones and McPhee are more the replacements for Redding.

papasmurfbell
Yeah I agree that he will not be the replacement but McAdoo could be a huge addition to the D this yr.
thesteelhurtin
Yeah mcadoo would leave your linebackers very vupnerable. Most TEs could block him it would spell disaster for your run defense. Think about tackles getting free shots at ray lewis. You gotta have big bulky guys that can man handle the guy in fro.t of him not go around them in the 3-
ravensfanatic77
McAdoo better put on some LB's. 6'7" and only 245 lbs? That's crazy!
papasmurfbell
Hey I bet he has put some on since last summer. He has all the time in the world to work out.

Think about tackles getting free shots at ray lewis. You gotta have big bulky guys that can man handle the guy in fro.t of him not go around them in the 3-4 I would be willing to bet that McAdoo would be nothing more than a pass rushing specialist. And that is a best case scenario. The guy has a lot of raw talent and off the chart tools, and he even looked good in the preseason, but he is young in football years and will need a lot of experience. This offseason is huge for him. Did he work his butt off in the weight room? Is he going to show up to every voluntary minicamp? Will he work hard in training camp getting reps? This will determine whether he is ready or needs another year. FWIW, I follow the guy on Twitter and he eats everything and anything constantly. The guy realizes he is thin and needs to put on weight, so hopefully he's gained a few since last season.
