Fans Vote Ravens-Steelers Best Rivalry In NFL

Of course Ravens and Steelers fans would think their teams’ matchup has become one of the league’s best rivalries, but it means more when the rest of the NFL’s fan base agrees.

When asked in a poll at NFL.com, fans across the nation said the Ravens-Steelers rivalry was the best, even beating out the Packers-Bears historic past and the trash-talking Jets-Pats showdowns.

Jets vs. Patriots: 11 percent

Packers vs. Bears: 25 percent

Any NFC East matchup: 26 percent

Ravens vs. Steelers: 38 percent

And to prove that Baltimore and Pittsburgh still know how to put on a show, their Week 9 fight was listed as the 11th-best game of the 2011 season. Of course the Ravens got the best of the Steelers that day (and season with a two-game sweep) as Torrey Smith reeled in a 26-yard, game-winning touchdown catch.
