Anyone like Myles Jack, OLB?

At least one scout is saying Jack is the best player in the draft and has been saying it for

months. Kiper put him in the top 6. The Milwaukee Sentinel seems to be saying the same

as the scout and Jack should be there for us.

So why haven't we heard of him. I didn't until Mel came out with his MOCK.2 list and said

he's a top 6 pick with Bosa and Buckner.

If Bosa is back to being the #1 player drafted, then Jack will be there for us because Buckner

will be gone too and so will Ramsey to the Jags. That's 3 players plus TReadwell to Dallas

and Wentz to Cleve and Tunsil @ # 2.

Like Bosa dnd Buckner, Jack can play in the box or OLB.

I'd rather have Jack than Hargreaves, that's for sure but even DeCosta said he's excited about

who will be there for us. Several of the top impact players will be there to choose from that can

turn us around next year.

I like Jack. Cool last name too.

Correction: I can't delete this from above post for some reason but the list I posted would

also leave Tunsil to us if SD takes Buckner. So I re-write: with these players gone,

Bosa

Wentz

Buckner

Treadwell

Ramsey

That leaves

Tunsil

Jack

Stanley

Hardgreaves

Spence

for us to choose from. Not bad. Ozzie would be tripping over himself taking the card up to the

table for Tunsil the best LT in the draft. Most mocks have him going early as high as #1

before Bosa posted his 40 times.

They're all impact players that can turn the season around and MacKenzie Alexander, CB

and great playmaker in the 2d round would make it even better but that's a dream. He'll

probably be gone.

According to BR and the talking heads down here the Jags are targeting Jack as their first pick.

There is also talk of the jags taking Noah Spence, but I can't see that because the egg on their face is still wet from the Bkackmon fiasco.

Myles probably hasn't been talked about very much because he missed most of the season with a knee injury but he appears to be healing very fast from that hence the talk about him after the combine has ramped up a little. He has a little Adalius Thomas to his game in that you can line him up all over the field and he will do a good job for you.

Thanks guys. Great posts.

WoW Cravn - If the Jags take Jack that leaves Ramsey for us. All the mocks I've seen have Jags

drafting Ramsey or Bosa if there. So to recap. If they get Jack, that leaves;

The best two CBs in the draft

Ramsey

Hargreaves

The best LTs in the draft

Tunsil - if SD takes Tunsil that leaves Buckner for us

Stanley

Spence - the rising pass rusher

Jack is not an OLB in a 3-4 defense. He's being promoted as a weak side OLB in a 4-3. A run and hit type guy who can use his speed. In a 3-4 he would be a weak side ILB. I don't think he'd be a great fit with Mosley. Mosley doesn't like taking on guards and would struggle as the strongside Mike. Although, that is Mosley's problem and Jack is an excellent player. Jack would likely relieve Mosley of pass coverage duties in passing situations. He could be our pick.

I don't think its outside the realm of possibility that Dallas takes a QB either. Jones said he wants a favre-rogers transition with Romo-someone. I dont think there is any chance that Mackenzie Alexander is there in round 2. One SB nation mock has us taking Alexander with the 6th overall pick. I've also not seen a single mock that doesn't have Ramsey to the Jags.

Bingo, well said. I will add, the best part of Mosely's game is blitzing, so you wouldn't want to take that away from his game.

I doubt the Ravens take him, they have more pressing needs.

Some people get too technical in here. If Ozzie has Jack ranked high on his board and he's

there, he'll take him and let the coaches sort the rest of it out. We'd have two impact players

on Defens - Mosley and Jack if taken.

As far as CRAVN's link, Jerry has come out and said he wants a wide receiver to complement

DEZ so that's Treadwell. Jerry's last remark that I read said we can wait another year to groom

Romeo's replacement.
