  1. Swan can't cover, I hear Burger King is hiring
  2. It's not windy today, Hill goes for a big run!
  3. You cannot crash inside when there is a middle backer blitz on
  4. Im on a delay, getting rid.of the commercials, but the Ole block by the right guard ruined the chance of converting the first 3rd & 10 on the opening series.. can't expect much with Johnson
  5. The edge is still a major issue...
  6. Well, he is not an established starter, though likely a starter, I would think they go to him as often as possible to break him in
  7. I would give them a series or two, see if they can get some rhythm going next week.
  8. So in the world according to Harbs, no "established" players will play tonight. Good move, first and foremost most is health... Hopefully the rookies and those battling for a place on the roster ball out and stay healthy
  9. He has lived off of one year deals for a few years now, maybe he wants a 3 year deal to retire on, he is "mulling over" the Ravens offer. So all bets say it is a one year deal with incentives
  10. Well, they want depth for the most part. They plan on using the two gamble picks in coverage as well as pass rush. Neither has shown that they can hold the edge against the run, maybe that will change. But it is another reason to add Clowney, who does do well holding the edge. Even so, this has to be a make or break year for the two gamble picks...
  11. Ravens offered Clowney a contract, not sure what to think of that, given his injury history and lack of consistency when it comes to effort and motivation
  12. A little rest does a mind & body good
  13. I'm not certain it is lagging as much as it is 3rd down situations and just let it fly, take a chance, give players a chance to make a play, allow the qbs a chance to see on tape what types of throws are needed. Todd will straighten them out, of this I am confident, but then I am a bit biased
  14. Well, day 10 was no fun for the offense, they reportedly tossed 10 picks, should we be excited about the defense that has been destroying the offensive line? The fact that they can catch? Or Upset that the offense can't protect the qbs, and that under duress, the qbs are coughing the ball up at an alarming rate? Baby steps
  15. He is either going to be a pro bowl qb or exposed as a running qb. Timing in Todd's offense is key, but there will be wide open options.
  16. It's a work in progress, a good read
  17. Well it becomes who is cheaper, him or Gus? He was the right pick then, remember, Hill was still struggling, he was on the verge of being out of the league. Gus was still developing, was he a one year wonder? So it made sense to take Dobbins. He is just caught up in this me too movement for runningbacks. No one could have thought he would listen to the leaves instead of just enjoying the breeze. If Hill continues to run hard, not be tackled by the wind, then JK will be expendable. How much Gus wants, how long they feel he will be affective, will also determine what they do with JK. My guess is they sign him to a team friendly deal and trade him at some point unless he stops listening to the noise.
  18. I hope he realizes how generous the team is being, they could fine hime each day he misses since he is under contract. But they clearly are letting him sit on the pup list for now. Just don't break the bank, he is good, but has not proven to be one of the best.
  19. Baltimore has been in talks with Dobbins on a potential extension, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network (video link). Nothing is imminent at this point while the 24-year-old remains sidelined, but progress on negotiations could result in a deal being worked out. Dobbins is set to enter the final year of his rookie contract, one which has seen him miss considerable time due to injury. https://www.profootballrumors.com/2023/08/ravens-have-discussed-extension-with-rb-j-k-dobbins
  20. Jk still out, Harbs says he has no idea when Dobbins will be on the field. If he holds out until the regular season I expect to see little action for him until the middle of the season, if at all, barring injury or a major blow out. Such a shame
  21. Camp back them was awesome
  22. https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/zay-flowers-ravens-practice-report-training-camp-cooks The Ravens had a second straight day of padded practice and the offense fired back. Here's what stood out in Tuesday's practice: Rookie wide receiver Zay Flowers had a quiet day Monday after returning from an illness that sidelined him for two practices. But Tuesday was a different story. The Ravens had one-on-ones between wide receivers and defensive backs, and Flowers showed it's going to be near impossible to cover him in that situation. Granted, it's a tough assignment – on an island, with no help from anywhere. Still, Flowers made a diving grab against Rock Ya-Sin. The rookie later went deep on Daryl Worley for a long completion. Then he sent undrafted rookie Corey Mayfield Jr. to the turf with his quick moves. Flowers also scored a touchdown in 7-on-7 red-zone drills, getting away from safety Kyle Hamilton and behind Marcus Williams in the back of the end zone. Flowers won't just be dangerous through the air. He's also going to be a threat running the ball on jet sweeps, etc. The Ravens used that a fair amount with Devin Duvernay last year and Flowers looks more explosive doing it. He gets to the edge in a hurry.
  23. Not a bad write up, I loved reading this part and agree, health is rhe only thing holding Pierce back from dominating
  24. Harbs on Jk
  25. Can't really blame him, the Chargers have found more ways to lose games for decades
