This year & the next we will see if Eric has found success or failure in his past few drafts...

A pretty nice read. Can't say I don't agree https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-5-thoughts-ravens-preseason-defeat-commanders-zay-flowers-left-guard-battle The Zay Show: Flowers ran just four routes in the game but forced two missed tackles and found the end zone, displaying an uncanny shiftiness. • Has the left guard battle come to an end? Late-round pick Malaesala Aumavae-Laulu appears to be a developmental prospect at this point, whereas John Simpson has looked solid. • What to make of David Ojabo: A lone quarterback pressure across 21 pass-rushing snaps is all Ojabo has to show for himself this preseason.

Commandos vs Ravens, 2nd preseason game
tsylvester replied to tsylvester's topic in Baltimore Ravens
They didn't run too many packages, stunts, twists, so it wad pretty vanilla from the defensive line perspective. Sacks will, hopefully, come.... -

Not sure they have the roster space to keep a return specialist, will they keep 6 wide outs, 4 tight ends, 4 runningbacks? I think we've seem enough to keep just two qbs, leave one on the ps, be emergency on game day. 8 offensive linemen, 5 or 6 along the defensive line, 10 dbs/ safeties, 6 linebackers, long snapper, punter, kicker.... Should be fun -

Yeah, he and Duv I think have ended their time here. Curious to see what they do with the tight ends, all of them played very well, showed that they can be starters. -
Commandos vs Ravens, 2nd preseason game

As the late, great Roy Orbison sang; It's over, it's Ooover! Perhaps most impressive about this useless streak is that there are only 2 players remaining on the team from when it began, per ESPN... Didn't watch it but for the first two quarters, but they put up 28 pts with back ups of the back ups. That pick in the endzone was one weird play and another reason you have to catch the ball with your hands, not your body. -
Why on earth have this fake game at night, on Monday night too boot.... oy Here is to no injuries, to gaining game experience for the 2nd teamers and rookies. I expect we will see Huntley for the first half, he seems to move the ball around better so that the pass catchers get a chance to shine

Yep, they have to put the carrots in front of the stick

Clowney to sign, 1 year deal, couldn't find the money https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/jadeveon-clowney-to-sign-with-ravens-ex-browns-pass-rusher-no-1-overall-pick-agrees-to-terms-with-baltimore/

They signed Darby, 1 year, $3.2 mil, not a bad player, he can get hands, but he should work well in this system

I'll put this here, some decent names, I would still want Fuller brought back, if healthy https://sports.yahoo.com/5-free-agent-cornerbacks-ravens-164325416.html

A nice read and some good video here. Flowers is impressive https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/ravens-commanders-practice-takeaways-zay-flowers-blossoms-sam-howell-holds-down-qb1-in-brawl-filled-two-days/

Bring on Kyle Fuller, maybe his knee is ready for opening day...
-
It is a wonder, I've never seen anything like it. I would understand it, to some extent, if this were the old days with hitting, tackling, bull in the ring stuff. Next to a hammy, a knee, foot injuries are major problems
-
And the injury bug that has plagued this team at corner, continues Humph to miss at least a month https://www.nfl.com/news/ravens-cb-marlon-humphrey-foot-to-undergo-surgery-expected-to-miss-at-least-a-mo

There is no talking about fight club, first rule, apparently someone broke that rule https://www.si.com/nfl/ravens/news/baltimore-ravens-washington-commanders-mark-andrews-body-slam-fight-training-camp The Baltimore Ravens and Washington Comamnders took a pause from their joint practice on Tuesday to break up a fight between Mark Andrews and Danny Johnson. The Baltimore Ravens are holding joint practices with the cross-town rival Washington Commanders. While not a regular season game, tempers can get heated as players are attempting to show their best colors to coaches in an attempt to make the roster. And some star players who already have roster spots locked down get emotional too. The two teams took a pause from their joint practice on Tuesday to break up a fight between Ravens tight end Mark Andrews and Commanders corner Danny Johnson. The two were involved in a play and Andrews took offense to the coverage he was receiving from Johnson, and Andrews picked up and slammed Johnson to the ground, WWE style.

Well now we see if he holds out and gets fined or plays

A nice read on the game. I will reiterate what I said earlier, Huntley took advantage of the 3rd string defense, but hey, that wad what he was given. Todd called a great game from a passing scheme stand point. Designed plays to take advantage of the speed & quickness of his players. Thus, open areas in the defense for some rookies to have good opportunities. Passes were put in a place where they could make plays and they did, for the most part. The defense got stops, yes, but mostly against a really raw rookie qb...
-
The biggest difference on the offense is in the pass play designs, the spacing, the route combinations, quite noticeable
-
Bad idea to field the punt inside your 10, worst to carry it like a sack of potatoes... start peeling them, not a good way to keep your roster spot
-
Huntely took advantage of playing against future dishwashers, but got the ball out quickly, more accurately than Johnson.. hope that hammy isn't serious Nice catch by Wallace
-
I wonder if the reason Johnson is starting and playing the entire first half is because Huntley is hurt?
-
Edwards is an established starter, why on earth is he playing in this game?

Swan can't cover, I hear Burger King is hiring
