  1. Surprise, oops he did it again...
  2. Well, he did manage to turn Gino's around
  3. A lot of it can be over looked because of bad advice in his camp. Maybe he will see the light and get some better people around him? I'm torn, you look at his numbers and wow, it is hard to say let's walk away. Factor in a new passing scheme and maybe his numbers get better. Now, no way i give any quarterback a fully guaranteed contract, not even Mahomes. So yes, if he doesn't come down, he can walk the plank.
  4. Well, New Orleans just got a first round pick this year, plus a 2nd round pick next, they need a qb. Though their first rounder is 30.. not good enough. Texans with their new coach have 2 top 12 picks, but will they want Lamar after getting rid of Watson? Falcons, Colts, etc.. Will it take a first round pick plus a top player at a position of need and some lower picks? Will it take multiple first round picks this year? One this year and next? Some serious decisions for Eric & company.
  5. Yeah, I don't think they will move much off of that $250 mil, $133 guaranteed, maybe to 140, 145. But I also don't think Lamar is going to come down from his stance of wanting the full contract guaranteed. So for me there are only 2 options left, tag & hope he shows up to learn the new offense in time. Or tag and trade. With what Pollard has said he told Lamar, and Rg greed, I doubt Lamar shows up after he is tagged until the start of the season
  6. Well, they can always place the tag, then work out a deal. They just have to place the tag by then.
  7. It was proposed, but not passed
  8. Salary cap set, now we know the real cost of the tags. NBC Sports: With salary cap in place, franchise and transition tag amounts for 2023 are known. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/01/30/with-salary-cap-in-place-franchise-and-transition-tag-amounts-for-2023-are-known/ Per multiple reports, the franchise tags are as follows: Quarterback: $32,416,000. The transition tag provides only a right to match, with no compensation. The transition tags are as follows: Quarterback: $29,504,000 The window for applying the tags opens on February 21 and closes on March 7.
  9. Ya have to be leary of OSU qbs... not sure about Dk, always seems to be hurt
  10. Chargers are off of the list of teams in need, Kellen Moore has been inked.
  11. OK, traded away one of the best receivers in the game. Lost a few others during the game. Yet Mahomes still completed over 60% of his passes for over 300 yards, with 2 tds, no picks (1 fumble) and most importantly his team won. So why do the Ravens need one of the best wide outs in the league? I know, I am screaming for one to be drafted in the first round. But you know my stance, as my aon in law says, I will die on this mountain that the system is more important than the players in said system. My final proof is the KC Cheifs are in the Super Bowl with 2 cast off possession receivers, 2 often injured average receivers and a great tight end.
  12. Another key to the new oc is perhaps, just maybe, he will help the Ravens find and develop wide receivers, Monkton has shown that he can
  13. Yeah Richardson is so far raw, what is his completion percentage, barely above 50? A T Perry had a great first day of practice at the Bowl practice. Another big, fast wide out, over 2000 yards, 26 touchdowns the last two years at Wake. I'm not sold on Boute, he disappears in games, doesn't always catch with his hands, and drops a lot of easy throws.
  14. Yes, I did a happy dance that they at least talked with him and he showed some interest. My biggest fear is that as you & oldno said; this is just to cover the in-house hiring...
  15. Eh, some offensive coordinators may want their own choice at qb. Then again, the wide receivers may also give them pause. Even then, the right system could elevate those players. This team is ready to rock & roll, more so than any of the other team's in need, save the Chargers
  16. My heart skipped a beat, my dream for this team may come true.. NBC Sports: Todd Monken interviewed for Ravens offensive coordinator. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/01/28/todd-monken-interviewed-for-ravens-offensive-coordinator/
  17. Na, the writing is on the wall. This team is good qb play away from being in the game tomorrow, even a super bowl appearance. Bowser is a big piece of the pass rush packages. JK, a 1000 plus yard rusher with 10 total touchdowns capable. Both on the cheap. You get rid of those two and yes, it sends a message to the team but not the one you want. Both players are highly liked on the team, spoke the truth in the fit of a tough loss. So get rid of them and this team only good qb play away from a few years of true Super Bowl contender is lost
  18. No chance they cut nor trade either player, both are cheap labor right now. Maybe they won't get an extension in a year or two, but they both stick around. Now if either one was the culprit behind the fire Roman pamphlets, sure, but...
  19. I think they should use the internet for an oc, let fans supply the plays via text message, rates apply, .....
  20. The Ravens currently only have 5 picks in the upcoming draft. History tells us they are likely to trade down from the 20's spot in the first round to get more picks. Now, not knowing what is going to happen with Lamar, sign, need to hit on as many draft picks to add depth and starters, cheaply, to afford his salary. Or Trade, get multiple picks, at least 2 in this year's draft. Still, the Ravens are slated to have somewhere around $40 mil in cap space, more with cuts, less with Lamar and any free agents.. I've see a few mocks, hate them, used to love then, have the Ravens taking Bejob Robinson rb Texas with their first round pick. If you know me, you know 1) never take a runningback in the first round, even their five years under a rookie deal is too much to pay. 2)There is no way they need a runningback in the first round, even if they somehow cut Gus, slated to make around $4mil next year, they still have JK on a rookie deal and his relief, a power back, can be had later in the draft or as an undrafted. These same mocks have Quenton Jonston, wr TCU, a position not only in clearly need and one they openly said they would bolster, still on the board at the Ravens pick. He is arguably the best, highest ceiling wide out in the league. Size, speed, hands.. needs some help on route running, but hey... So if the Ravens stay with just 5 picks, they will have to make them count now more than ever. Sure, they need some help on this young, talented team, a corner to replace Peters, perhaps. A linebacker to replace Queen, maybe. A defensive tackle, o line help perhaps, but they do have some young talent at each of those positions that showed some promise the past two years. The biggest need is at wide out, even if they keep Duv (incentives reached based on special teams play), and if Bateman comes back healthy and turns out. We know the Ravens history at drafting and developing wide outs, but doesn't mean you stop trying, even a blind squirrel finds a nut... With that said, if they go runningback in the first, while it makes no difference to them, I will not watch them next year. It would tell me that Eric is over his head, out of his mind....
  21. Hackett, (Jets) Reich, (Panthers) off of the board...
  22. Okay Dee, you have 75 thousand fabricated coins. Oh did I forget to mention that the 25 was actually 25 thousand.... pay up peeps!
  23. That had to be a joke. No way would he come to the NFL, and no way the Ravens hire him with his track record
  24. Put your fabricated coins up, 25 figments for a guess, proceeds go to Dee's favorite chia pet. Does Lamar sign first Or Do the Ravens ink a new oc
  25. I can't see a lateral move for Eric, why leave Mahomes? Reich would just be a whistle stop till a head coaching job came around. Leftwich was he really any good? He did have arguably the best qb in NFL history and stil failed when left on his own. Martin and Urban not sure about them, straight from Roman... would things be any different?
