  1. Oh don't be a grinch, maybe Cindy Lu can thaw your heart! Miracles still do happen, this might not be the year without a Santa Clause
  2. Sorry, couldn't resist, the little man that lives inside my head and has control of the juke box loves oldies.... Yes, the two best teams, record wise, maybe even true wise, meet up on Christmas night. Ravens take one last long road trip of this regular season, and another game filled with distractions, at night, on Monday night, on Christmas, on Christmas week end, /night. Several players are dealing with injuries, Stanley, Flowers, Hamilton, of course their speedy back is out for the season with a complete tear of his acl. But it is a great test for the defense, get quick pressure, stay connected in coverage, especially early in routes. A good test for this offense, give Lamar time, one of the most sacked in the league. Get the running game going early to take the legs out of their pass rush... Should be fun
  3. Mistakes happen, players fold a bit under pressure. Lamar broke the rule about throwing late over the middle numerous times these past few games and this time, it cost him. He got away with that heroic pass to Likely, though his explanation made sense. It was a turning point in that game. Another miss by the special teams allowing that big return in the last minute & a half of the first half. Thankfully, the Jags were out of timeouts and Lawrence wanted to try to catch the defense napping. Still, 200 + yards rushing, while the score was not indicative of the game, a W was had. Purdy, as good as he has been, is a statue in the pocket. Sure, he can move around a bit, but if the defense can take away his first read, they can feast on him.
  4. True Papa, look at them when Debo and their left tackle were out, three straight loses. But then, have they played anyone good? The Cowboys look incredible at home, against lesser teams. On the road & against better teams, they are junk. Same for the Bill's, if yesterday's game between the two was in Dallas, the score is reversed. Some of the bad play is because of injury at the qb position. But most of it is just terrible play and I think, just my opinion, it goes deeper than coaching. I think it is the recent changes to practices, no hitting, more walk through, & such.
  5. Well, it was not pretty, but it is a W and playoff bound. How do you hold a team to under 10 pts? You keep their offense off the field, the defense held them to 3 of 13 on third down, outstanding. Yes, they got some help with this win, missed field goals, a botched end of half series. Only 1 sack, Madebeke kept his record going (and his pay day), Mitchel, man, the Ravens just can't keep runningbacks healthy. The Jags made sure to keep the passing down, playing man under most of the game, but that allowed Lamar to run free. But they also sacked him 3 times, this line is getting leaky, next week will be their biggest test from that SanFran pass rush. Sure, the pundits will call that game a possible Super Bowl pre-match. Not sure about that, just take care of business and see where we are when the dust settles.
  6. Well, Chicago was Chicago, up by 7 gave up 10 pts with 3 mins left in the game. Then dropped the game winning hail Mary as time expired to give the Browns a win. As much as I would hate to see the Bill's in the playoffs, I just can't root for the Cowboys...
  7. Yes, shame it isn't going to be cold enough for snow, been a while since we had a good Nor Easter dump snow on us.
  8. Well, the San Fran game is not that big of a loss so long as they take care of the AFC games
  9. Jags are down a few players in their secondary, another night game, the Ravens should have plenty of "practice" with playing in the spot light, off scheduled games. Let us hope they allow this to prepare them for January and February
  10. Yes, wearing a brace, full participant both days
  11. Another day, another full attendance at practice, man that is nice. Stay safe crav Ole buddy
  12. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/chargers-fire-brandon-staley-gm-tom-telesco-one-day-after-42-point-blowout-loss-to-raiders-in-week-15/ Man, I'm 57 years old, watched great players give their all for that team over the years, in the end, no matter the coach, the gm nor the players, in the end, it is rhe same, amazing...
  13. Hey Dee, just curious, what happened to the original Jaguars thread on the game this Sunday... thanks, Happy Holidays Tim

      That's weird. Merry Christmas!

  14. Well, with this past Sunday’s game, the team will have gained much experience playing in windy, wet weather which is expected to be the same forecast for their game in Jacksonville Not sure what happened to our Jacksonville thread, but here is a new one I guess....
  15. Maybe find out how Lawrence gets a nasty high ankle sprain on a Monday and still plays, running & all, the following Sunday... apply that magic healing juice to Hamilton
  16. Should, grade one sprain, rest, ice, elevation, rehab
  17. Per Espn, couple of weeks perhaps
  18. An NFL game in perfect weather conditions ended with a field goal in the last 2 mins of the game. The Vikes won 3-0, yeah, football as a whole is terrible this year.
  19. Well, I think we have seen enough, Lamar is not accurate throwing the ball 30 + yards down field in a line, ie, with the receiver running away from him. It is not even close! Today it took a great, phenomenal catch and roll by Obj to complete that poorly thrown ball. Several others, he had receivers open by 2, 3, 4 steps, behind the defender and still, Lamar over threw, in one case, under threw resulting in a pick. He had Obj one on one with the defender on the field side. All Lamar had to do was through toward the flag, the sideline and it is a touchdown. He had plenty of time today, this may have been the best pass blocking this line has done in years, yet Lamar still could not make that/those deep shots accurately. Obviously ya can't stop throwing them, calling them, but clearly less is more.
  20. From here on out it is find a way to win each week. No more is it about best defense nor most potent offense, nor by margin of victory: to coin a phrase; just win baby. Special teams has had its troubles this year, even in this game, but they came through when needed most.
  21. Well Judon was playing his position, sorry if his feelings were hurt having to play team ball and cover the flat every now & then. But then, had the Ravens wanted to pay his price he would have stayed here. A side note, how in blue blazes did Trevor Lawrence play today? With a severe high ankle sprain?
  22. Bills line just pushed Allen 5 yards into the endzone. The way to stop that is to take his (the runners) legs out
  23. Home cooking from the officals? They refs were terrible, screwed the Ravens a few times, holding in the Rams secondary not called at all, even though it happened numerous times. Oass interference in the endzone not called. A sack of Lamar where he clearly was not down and threw the ball away. Palease I agree, as I have pointed out throughout this thread that every part of the team screwed up, offense, play calling, players with wild snaps, poor passing, dropped passes. Defense, cant stop the run, cant cover, 3 i think personal fouls.. Special teams, off sides on a punt? Coaching, challenging a play that cannot be challenged? In the end, they all came through for the win
  24. Wow-Wow-WOW! Wallace with a punt return for a touchdown, Ravens win! Finally the special teams comes through! What a game!
  25. Lamar has Obj open deep, throws it too far uo field. Should have led him to the flag, an easier catch and easier throw. Incomplete Throws it out of bounds trying to hit Likely for a first down. Incomplete, 3 & out. Ouch
