  1. Hopefully Obj is going to be fine. That shoulder injury can be tricky. The defender came from behind and drove him in to the ground. But 9 days rest then back at it. That bye is going to be needed... Maybe Andrews can visit with Brock Bowers, UGA tightend, similar injury, was only out for a few games... surely I jest...
  2. Just finished, almost, watching the game. So glad to see that they won. It was a short week game, so nuts happen. I agree, the worst, perhaps, officiated game I've seen in a while. The Ravens got lucky on that, without the bad officials the end of the half touchdown to Bateman does not happen. Sadly, the holding call on OBj wad also bogus, taking a Flowers touchdown off the board. This is where luck came in again, the tipped pass right to Algholar who caught and ran for 6. Luck came calling again when a couple of Lamar over throws that should have been picked, were dropped. I don't understand the first half play calling, all of those shots deep down field that were no where near completed, save one, that was tipped away. Maybe they wanted get him game practice in throwing them? Second half, redzone, Lamar on a gimpy ankle they call qb runs? They pull Gus out? Nice that they once again scored a touchdown on their opening drive, real nice. Nice that Obj got over 100, real nice. Not nice, the defense, missed tackles. Luck came calling again, Burrow hurt, not sure the Ravens win if Burrow plays the entire game. Sucks about Andrews, done for the year. Queen also hurt his anckle, as did Lamar. Hey, weird things happen on short weeks, in short week games. So glad the Ravens won despite it being a short week
  3. 2 $100+ million quarterbacks, some one has to shine to night, let's hope Lamar is the one
  4. Hendrickson is nursing a hyperextended knee. No doubt a cortisone regime is helping him play tonight. Run, run at him, make him move, make him use his strength up trying to stop the run.
  5. Tee Higgins (hamstring), Sam Hubbard (ankle), and Andrei Iosivas (knee) have been ruled out after not practicing this week. That means the Bengals will rely heavily on Trenton Irwin and Tyler Boyd to step up next to Ja’Marr Chase at wide receiver. Hendricks is playing, shucks, he always seems to kill us. Stanley and Simpson are out, Humphries is doubtful for the good guys...
  6. Lamar 7-1 against the Bengals, over 70 yards rushing per game too boot. But it is a Night game, a short week game oy..mm Good news, that tan ravens sideline hood is down to $69, wonder if I can get it for $49 by the time Christmas rolls around
  7. Well they did oldno, Watson is done for the year, needs shoulder surgery. A broken bone in his shoulder from the hit along the sidelines. Plus a high ankle sprain. Yet some how he managed to finish the game going 14 for 14 on passes and some big runs.. hmmm
  8. I disagree, I give no credence to how good any team is based on Thursday night games. It's heavy water, not clear water, they may as well be running through the jungle. (Yes, I have CCR playing in my head)
  9. Well, while I do agree, Denver loses that game if not for the 4 turnovers. Josh seems to have the same problem Lamar does, turnovers in big games. With the injuries to the line, and a short week, do expect a heavy dose of the run game, so long as it is close & or the Ravens have a big lead
  10. Yep, 14 million viewers watching terrible, usually, football.
  11. They are saying an MCL sprain for Stanely, 4-6 weeks, we shall see..
  12. Yep, take a page from their history, from Michigan when they played PSU last weekend, and run, run zone reads, run power, shoot, line up in the wishbone and run some more. When they get tired of that, run the wing T
  13. According to the Ravens main website, Humphries has a lower calf strain, better than I thought when I saw him grab the back of his ankle, he will be day to day.. No word that I saw on Stanley, Simpson nor the other walking wounded
  14. The best way to help guard against pass rushers when your replacement tackles struggle pass blocking? Run the football, it wears down the defensive line, ever carry, pushing, chasing, takes their legs out. That was one reason a good running game + play action works so well. But it is Thursday night, usually one team can't adjust to the short week, sometimes both. Other times it is one side of the ball or the other. Should be interesting
  15. I agree papa, 14 turnovers in the 4th quarter & or overtime is inexcusable. But the defense needs some blame as well. In this one, whether is was scheme or player error, something went wrong, goes wrong.
  16. Eh, I hate the advanced stats, the made up, by Espn, one, expected this or that. Look, this team has lost an astounding number of games when they had a double digit lead. Why? The offense bogs down, the defense let's up? Both? The last Browns drive, false start, strip sack, normally the defense gets off of the field with a start like that, but they didn't. Why? Left the middle wide open for a big gain. Over and over their tight end killed the Ravens defense with a 2 yard flat pass, breaking tackles for 8, 10 yard gains. No answer from the Ravens defense, none. With all of that said, while this team "should", could be undefeated, you can't win them all, the Phins of the 70's were an aberration. The coaches, offensively and defensively, got carried away with plays. The players maybe let up a little bit after the way the game started, even after going up 31-17, when it was too late to turn it back on. We can't blame injuries, the Browns came in with more, lost more players during the game. Shoot, Watson was playing on a gimpy ankle. They were just more physical as the game went on, Lamar decked, Oweh decked, VanNoy planted just to name a few. It happens.
  17. Watching Django Unchained, a perfect movie to get over what was actually a great game. For a few minutes, essentially after Obj took one to the house, i thought my "prediction" was going to be correct Now for some popcorn, extra butter
  18. 3 loses, all 3 the Ravens had the lead, maybe even should have won. Not sure what to expect Thursday, meh, it's a night game so I will have to record it and delve into it on Friday. We know the defense is not as bad as they looked in the 2nd half. They got out muscled, out bullied, were a step behind each time. Even when they, Oweh, forced that fumble at the end, the ball just did not bounce their way, Madebeke I think it was, was a step too slow reacting, the 3rd string tackle beat him to it. Can't win them all but ya gotta win the wins you should if you are a or want to be a good team.
  19. At least the Bengals also lost....
  20. Recover the fumble, you win Cover people, you win. Make tackles, you win. The defense fell apart in the 2nd half, 13 for 13 for Watson who was on pace to have the worst completion % in NFL history? I love Todd's play calling normally, but to not run the ball in the 4th except on 1st down? When you lose your starting guard and tackle?? End around when you are driving successfully that loses 5 and had no chance against a very good defense. Yes, we can point to the pick 6, that ball was tipped (and likely should not have been thrown given where the dB was) or the other pick on a bad read by Lamar when the team was again driving. Or him holding the ball, taking sacks when if he had thrown on time when he hit his back foot, he likely gets a completion. Nonetheless, two 14 pt leads in the game, a 17 play 10 minute drive by Watson, who was what 9 of 28 or something before the drive? They couldn't play man, couldn't play zone, couldn't tackle, yes, this was on the defense... now a short week against a real offense with a real qb? Two AFC North loses in the same week possibly?
  21. Forced to flee, tosses it away..tried to get it to Alghalor 6:43 Lamar keeps it, up the middle (should have handed it off) gain of 2 3rd and 8 Great, delay of game 3rd and 14 Jackson forced to run, gets 8, punt time we are doomed Why not run the ball? Why not run the ball, 5 mins left, punt is a touch back Know how much time is left? Just enough for them to win, not enough for the Ravens to answer
  22. Gus up the middle for 2 Under 8 mins left Slant to Bateman, good coverage incomplete Complete to Flowers for 12, first down
  23. You can't make short passes when the pocket is squeezed like that, he gets lazy sometimes
  24. Oooo he missed the extra point!
  25. Need a long, time consuming drive offense that ends in a score Run up the middle for 2 Let the big Falale wear them out Deflected, picked off, touchdown
