  1. Yeah, he wants to trade skittles for twinkies
  2. 7 years, $200 mil guaranteed, $133 at signing, injury insurance, last two years are voidable, total value $240 mil https://www.espn.com/nfl/
  3. I would highly doubt he signs here, that was likely an offer as in, yes we would like you but this is all we can offer. Then they can say, hey, we tried to upgrade the wide receivers
  4. Ravens made an offer to OBJ, no word on the details as of yet... ouch..
  5. They could have a deal in place with the Ravens & Lamar that if x player is not there, then we do the deal. If he is, deal is off.
  6. While the Colts only have @ $11 mil in cap space and little wiggle room in contracts, they can structure a deal, worked out ahead of time, that has a very low first year cap hit, much like the Browns did with Watson’s deal.
  7. I know that this is a basketball player, but allow me to make this point. Wowza! Ever wonder why Lamar has not had endorsement deals like this? Or even a quarter of this? Sure, he is not exactly a top star like Curry is, but papa, we talked on this subject before, with the MVP of football, the exciting way Lamar plays, one would think, especially with Under Armor being a Baltimore based company, that he could land something, no? https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/03/02/does-lamar-jackson-have-the-endorsement-deals-that-a-player-of-his-status-should/ I posed that Lamar might not want to be under the thumb of those companies and the rules that follow for endorsement deals. But 1 BILLION, yeah, I'll bark like a dog if they want me to for that amount of money. It isn't just the NFL contracts he might not understand,... it isn't just the Ravens, the other owners who are staying away from him, that post to the fan would have cost him some serious cash from an endorsement deal...
  8. Nope, they would just carry over the cap money from this year if he doesn't play. So just roughly what, $12.mil extra next year.
  9. Here is a load of malarkey https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/five-reasons-why-lamar-jackson-doesnt-have-his-big-contract-and-five-counterarguments-for-each/ Here are my 5 reasons 1)He is showing his immaturity on social media 2) He is showing his lack of leadership on social media 3) He is not accurate on windy days 4) He misses games because he eats foods that upset his tummy 5) He plays terrible when the temperature gets below 60 degrees
  10. Maybe, 1 year, can't expect much, maybe the weather
  11. If he doesn't play, nothing is lost for the Ravens. What, should they just trade him for a bag of peanuts? All that happens is they tag him again and start this all over again. Don't be the Packers and cave in because no one is currently interested. Yes it would be great to get that first round pick this year, they still might if the Colts don't get their pick at 4. The draft will have some team moving toward Lamar, even if those picks come next year and into 25. But this team must get a better back up behind Huntley, Brown is not much better than Huntley, and there is surely someone better than Huntley out there..
  12. Wonder why he chose Atlanta over Buffalo, where he would stand a better chance for a championship
  13. Lamar says he stayed out of the playoff game because he didn't want to play on his pcl and play poorly, that playing would have been selfish. Lamar, the last time you played 100% healthy in the playoffs you played terrible. Stop the false narrative...
  14. Tom Brady took less money, team friendly deals, arguably the best qb in history could have asked for a fully guaranteed deal worth more than Watson, but did he? Nope, his deals with NE kept them cap healthy and a dynasty
  15. Wow, Cambell will sign with the Falcons, a one year deal, no money mentioned yet, wow...
  16. Let's liven up the joint. No matter what happens, this will be! From one of my favorite artists in every sense of the word
  17. Colts trade 1st (#4) this year, plus a 2nd next year plus Minshew qb & Isaiah McKenzie wr. Deal or no deal?
  18. If Rivera is to be believed
  19. Colts might change their view if their qb choice in the draft is not there are 4
  20. I just don't know if any team is going to trade for him. He said clearly, that $133 million at signing, $230 or what ever, total over 5 years is not enough for him to take care of his family. His words, yesterday, he also said that offer from the Ravens is proof that they don't want to meet his value. Then you have him ambushing his head coach with this trade demand tweet, breaking his word on keeping things private. I get it, he though he needed to push things along, he wasn't getting any calls, the Ravens were telling him nobody wanted to trade with them. But from a business standpoint point, is that an employee you want? You look at what is cost the Rams to get Stafford, the Broncos to get Wilson, the Browns to get he who shall not be named. Should you expect the Ravens to take less than the Seahawks, Texans and Lions got?
  21. Lamar: the Ravens don't value me Well Lamar, how much do you value your teammates? Oh just a complete $200 mil guaranteed contract that will cost your teammates jobs with the Ravens when your salary exceeds 20% of the cap or more... Bite me dough boy
  22. Apologies to the late great Otis Reading Sittin' in the mornin' sun I'll be sittin' when the evenin' comes Watching Mayflower roll in Then I watch 'em roll away again, yeah I'm sittin' on the dock of the bay Watchin' Lamar roll away, ooh I'm just sittin' on the dock of the bay Wastin' time....
  23. Man, the melt downs on other boards are hysterical in all sense of the word. Some proclaiming that they "never seen such exciting games until Lamar. Sorry, those must be children, those playoffs games in first Super Bowl run were far more exciting than any game Lamar has played. After 5 games with no touchdown, to just make the Festivus then go on to dominate the Maximus! Sharpe picking up the Lewis fumble in the Denver playoff game, rumbling 60 yards for a touchdown! Jermain Lewis returning a kickoff for a touchdown in the Super Bowl After the Giants had just returned a punt for a score... yeah, now that was far more exciting. How about the playoff game with Denver in 2011, down with mere seconds left, Joe hit Jacoby streaking down the sidelines for rhe walk off win enroute to another Super Bowl run! Now all of that season was far more exciting. Go ahead, stop watching Ravens football, typical of today's children, cancel culture. The Ravens won 2 Super Bowls without Lamar, they can win more without him. The team built an offense around him, a line used to blocking for a running qb, plays designed to take advantage of his talents. When things go stagnant, they fire the oc, at his request, and hire a new one known for enhancing a qbs play. They offer him the 2nd highest contract, EVER, and he says the team doesn't care about him?
  24. Stay the course, just like the Packers are doing with Rogers; our price or no deal. Lamar is proving how much of an immature person he is, he demands a trade a month ago, then goes on to tweet that the Ravens are liars, low ball cheats, all the while spouting scripture and devilish talk to a fan and what he should eat. Now he leaks to the press that he was negotiating with the Ravens up until last week? Negotiating requires parties to move the needle a little bit. The Ravens raised their offer a bit, but Lamar refused to move his. Sure, that is negotiating, between two five year olds over candy
