I still have a football from the Denver playoff game Femi tossed to me. Funny story; A friend had an extra ticket, his wife couldn't make so he, I and his 8 year old son went. At half time, I head up to get a hot cocoa, Femi, who had broken his foot earlier in the season, was in line in front of me. We started up a conversation about the game, how well it was going. Then I said with a smirk, half joking; hey, if you get a chance toss me a ball, I'm sitting right behind the bench. He laughed, played along and said sure. Late in the 4th with game out of hand, Femi came within ear shot. I yelled to him, there was a ball under the bench right behind him. He picks it up and tosses it to me...

That was a most pleasantly incredible surprise season...

Yeah, my 2004 trailblazer can go 120 mph, it just takes a few miles to get there....

Yeah, not for the money and not for the missed time they will have from injuries they always get in season. Bad enough they signed an average linebacker who is always hurt...

Not sure there are many teams out there willing to give one up, that is affordable. They would know the Ravens are "desperate", plus we really don't know what the 3 young guys can do, Procter, Duv, Wallace. The problem is the system and to some extent Lamar. Yes Brown had 1,000 + yards last year, but big deal, those are few & far between in this system. So even a traded player, will he give 100 percent? Will he resign here? Will he gripe during the year when Lamar looks past him on a double move, and throws instead to Andrews over the middle into double coverage? If you watch the routes closely on the all 22, you will be shocked to see how often that happened with Lamar. It isn't just the system it is his ability to read quickly, trust, throw, accurately.

Not that Brown was a true deep threat, but he was... Now what? Thus early, teams will be able to play down in their coverage which will make running the ball, including Lamar running, very difficult. It will also make the short- intermediate passing game this team relies on, much harder over the middle where safeties will be able to hunt. So, does Lamar finally learn how to timely, accurately throw outside the numbers, down field? I'm not too worried about the defense, so many secondary players were out last year, I expect a healthy defense to be in the top 12 or better. But this offense, yes I know they also had injuries, is what worries me most, that and man I have to cut back on soda, my gut is getting bigger....

Love the bye week, 3 night games I will have to watch on record, 2 of them back to back, odd but good with a bye following them. Too many questions now, all around the word health, to even guess a win/loss record

I wasn't here for that, being a transplant Marylander. But I've been here for longer than I lived in CT where I grew up. Not having a home football team stunk, I was a Pat's/ Rams fan growing up, my family were Giants fans.. So I don't have the fond Fandom of being a Baltimore Colts fan, but... Having moved here in '89, I was able to see the Ravens come to be, ditch the Rams/Pat's ( right when the Rams went on to Win the Super Bowl, go figure)... and be a home town team fan of the Ravens all these years now..

King has been a favorite of mine for as long as I can remember. Thanks Max, that was a good read. I don't know how he will turn out as a pro, nor how he fell to round 3, but I would love to know where they had Dean ranked and why they didn't draft him in either the 2nd or the 3rd...

I have hopes for Williams, another shot at a tall wide out with big catch radius. Seems they draft one every other year. I'll never forget Clarence, what a work out warrior he was. He was kind enough to give Sock & I an interview after one camp practice. He just could never put it together in a game. Williams is very, very raw, he can catch though, he just needs to learn how to run routes, get off man press coverage...

There have been a number of players over the years where the draft pundits claim so & so was a steal only to end up being a bust...Elam was a steal, whoops, Chris Woremly was a steal, whoops, even Oweh, though it is too early to tell about him. It is the same for every team, some players are rated too high, some too low...

So, now that we learn that Brown has wanted out of this system, off of this team essentially since he was drafted, what does this mean for the franchise? Is any decent wide out going to want to sign here? Is our very good now 2n year wide out, now the star of this wide out offense, going to want out too? Yes Brown wanted out for "selfish reasons", but when we think on this, can we blame him? I think every fan has said "get rid of Roman", well, Brown just did... so to speak... We know the history of this organization, they have never developed a wide out. We've had a few older vets come in and play well; Smith, Bolden, both loved playing here, to name two... So is this just a selfish receiver who wantes big numbers to get a big pay day? Or is there far more to this?

He just needs to drop some weight, improve his foot work. He is a monster in run blocking

Well, Sam is getting O-L-D... so getting the punter they wanted was a smart move. All in all, not a bad draft, some talent there, we shall have to wait and see if we have any real talent or do we have an Elam, a Worley, etc.... can the big man become the starting right tackle in a year or so?

Damarian Williams cb Houston Only 5-foot-10, 180 pounds, and while he covers ground from the free safety position, size and length are an issue. Because he's undersized, he isn't going to contest many balls at the catch point.

Jordan Stout, punter, PSU Oy... Tight end Isaiah Likely, CSTCAR Slow into breaks. Small hand size. Would prefer him working up the seam rather than across the field. Frame is not going to hold up as a blocker

Tight end Charlie Kolar, Iowa St Lacks overall physicality to sustain blocks and high point the football. Consistent performer for the past three years. Needs to play with better balance, which limits his explosive opportunities after the catch

Draft tracker, Daniel Faalele offensive tackle from Min, great pick. As usual, they dip into Bama and get a cb who can't stay true to the scheme, who gets lost in coverage... Jalyn Armour Davis...

Trueth is not always positive... I give up on watching the draft, it's too horribly run...

Crushed it? Let's see how well he heals from the torn Achilles, how long it takes him. Even then, he was not great holding the edge, a lot of his stats were because of the piss poor blocking teams he faced and who was on the other side. The defensive tackle from Uconn is interesting, big quick guy. He might be a very good role player if he stays focused.

Very likely if he stays healthy, Murray is a better deep ball passer and their system is far more passing concepts than that of the Ravens

True, however, he gained leverage with the trade. Essentially he was traded for the se value as Aj Brown. I would hate to be the Cardinals.. In his mind, with AB in his ear, $50 + mil guaranteed $100 mil is his starting point
