NFL Trade Rumors: Report: Multiple Teams Interested In Ravens OT Orlando Brown. https://nfltraderumors.co/report-multiple-teams-interested-in-ravens-ot-orlando-brown/ Should get a good price, at least a 2nd + right? -
You can't pay a qb, #1 wr (one of the best), te (one of the best), left tackle (one of the best) and an edge rusher/ linebacker for long term and expect to have success ie- win super bowls. The only way to have a top qb and win is by drafting very well. Let those players play on rookie deals, win in that window, then let em walk. You don't let a Mahomes, Rogers, Watson, Wilson, Jackson, etc walk away you keep them long term and build around them through the draft. Tampa just proved it can be done. They built a solid offensive line to protect a statue qb, gave him weapons on the outside, drafted well, very well on defense, boom. Sure they used a free agent or two, but cheaply. That is how the Ravens won back in 2012; gave Joe a line, had great defensive drafts, sprinkle in a fa or two, stay healthy, get some "luck". Win. We've talked about it before but they will have to have a position or one player rule excluding or reducing the hit on the cap. Now is the best time to implement it with so much loss of revenue this past year and I am sure going into next season as well. No way can the Cheifs for instance, pay Mahomes, and the rest of that circus (currently $201.3 mil cap going into next season, close to what, $30 mil OVER) Billy boy said it best just after the season, they could only pay Cam $1 mil, they kept pushing the cap ahead to keep that team together and win all of those Super Bowls. Brady got pain a ton, he kept agreeing to extend his bonus to spread it out until it finally came due. Then the Pats were screwed, the stopped having very good drafts, especially on the defensive side, and their good choices on the offensive line kept getting hurt....

Hey, I never said I WANTED the Bucs to win, just that they would. You aren't getting out of the bet that easy....
-
Hey, where are my duckets!
-
Ive see hands to the face not called, dbs holding, players lining up in the neutral zone all by Tampa not called....
-
The officials are on the take; this is obvious
-
You can't tell me the Buc's dbs aren't holding, just the KC defenders, right..... Hmmm
-
Yeah, fans have been saying that for years; good to see someone who knows what he is talking about, actually say it...
-
Well, new wr coach, new passing game coordinator, let's see what happens...
-
Ill take the Bucs for $400 Merve

Interesting game for sure, Brady has thrown 3 picks in the last game, most certainly should have been 4 if the GB defender had hands. Mahomes has a make shift line, but has quick & speedy players to offset the pressure. I'll watch the first half, been a long while, the Ravens last super bowl, since I fore went sleep to watch a game. The commercials, the crappy long half time show, are just too much to take my interest from this game.

Just a reminder, the cap has a floor of $175 mil with an "expected cap" of $176 mil, down $22 mil from this past season. The Ravens are at roughly $162 mil, $14 mil under.... -

So much for a discount, Brown, according to his tweet, considers him self a left tackle.... -

Boyle signed to an extension, $13 mil, 2 years. Good move, injuries and PED's (to help get over the injuries quicker) aside, he has earned it with his play. Plus he knows the offense... -
Maybe now that the passing game coordinator is gone, since the passing game under him was bad, they will get a good coordinator in here to make this passing game good. Thanks Houston

Cullen hired by Texans gives the Ravens 2 3rd round comp picks, that could be huge. -

Unless Brown is willing to give a cap friendly deal, there is no chance of affording him. He has shown to be a very right tackle, a good left tackle & guard. He has worked hard and earned the pay day; he was very raw, slow footed, bad hand placement type coming out of college. With Lamar's, that is going to eat up 60% or so of the cap, then what? How do you fill in the guards, the defensive line, the wideouts, the secondary? There is good talent in the draft, most raw, and yes the Ravens have been good at filling in depth from the draft in those positions, but that would be asking a lot. Unless you want to waste Lamar's running talent on the next 2-3 years while these young guys develop.... -

McPhee and Wolf are keepers if not just for their leadership & work effort. Bowser is also a keeper, while he has likely hit his ceiling, he has become an overachiever. Hill can go, great special team player but worthess on offense. Get the speedy back from Duke, much faster, 4 gears, and the wind doesn't knock him over. Brown is likely going to be too expenaive, sadly, he has turned into a very good lineman. Small cap due to the pandemic, will cut the Ravens $15-20 mil cap space down considerably, as it will other teams so maybe they can keep the well deserving players who worked hard the Raven way. -
https://news.yahoo.com/ravens-gm-decosta-initiates-roster-212731321.html Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta has already started making some of the tough decisions he believes can help Baltimore negotiate the leap from playoff qualifier to Super Bowl champion. After releasing running back Mark Ingram and quarterback Robert Griffin III last week, DeCosta announced Monday that the Ravens won't re-sign All-Pro long snapper Morgan Cox. The 34-year-old Cox was the initial component of a highly successful placekicking unit that includes holder Sam Koch and second-team All-Pro Justin Tucker, the most accurate field-goal kicker in NFL history. Nick Moore, 28, comes at a cheaper price than Cox, who's been sending the ball back between his legs for 11 seasons. Moore handled the job efficiently in a December game against Pittsburgh when Cox was on the reserve/COVID-19 list

Rob, that is not Rex... Anthony Weaver back too, but as a coach, not a playa... NFL.com: Ravens hiring Rob Ryan, Anthony Weaver to fill defensive assistant vacancies. https://www.nfl.com/news/ravens-hiring-rob-ryan-anthony-weaver-to-fill-defensive-assistant-vacancies

With the number one running game, play action should work with the right routes, with the receivers running them properly; in theory any way...

I have no issue with extending him. I am quite happy, as Ive said before, with 350+ yards of offense, whether that is 250 passing and 100 running, visa versa, so long as it is compelling, competitive, and yes, wins would be nice. My issue is and has been even when Joe was the qb; provide the right team around him. They failed with Joe, a pocket passer, they did not get him a good pass blocking line. Lamar has a good enough line, minus a player or two in the middle. Neither he nor Joe has the receivers or they didnt/ don't have passing scheme to be successful consistently. Joe had the same issue; receivers running routes on top of or into each other. Receivers not able to read coverage properly on option routes. So clearly the issue is 1) coaching & or 2) scouting maybe even 3) front office in selecting receivers. Pay Lamar, but get him receivers or coaching to help the passing game. 11 + wins is nice but as we have seen over the course of NFL history, the post season is a different animal, you have to be able to adjust to either run when they shut down your pass first offense, or throw when they shut down your run first offense. There is a very good nucleus on this team, offense, defense, special teams. Good enough to win a super bowl with the right players to complement them; don't waste the next 3-5 years.

Getting a number one is nice, but when your 2nd, 3rd and even 4th options are running routes a few yards from each other, what good is a number one if he is double covered? The play designs, route combos are also a major factor, you can't run a short option route, a simple in route and a short drag route all to the same side; no one will be open. You can't run timing routes if the qb is unwilling to throw on time, anticipatory... No one seems to want to talk about that last fact, only that Lamar is a wonderful, fun player to watch, dynamic player who needs "more help". If you look at the all 22, you will see many plays each game, where he had time, had the receiver, if he only threw on time, would be explosive plays..
