You are right Max, there are some good signs; the line has played well in each game, well enough to win. Even without Lamar's scrambling for rushing yards, this line is opening holes and pass protecting well.

He and B Williams got into it after the game. Thomas went after Williams in the training room, something about Williams not playing, no specifics...

With all due respect ORz, we can debate whether or not he can read a defense, the fact is, we just do not know for sure. We don't know the play called, what his progessions are, so I was speaking out of frustration; he is not terrible. I can point to just as many times when it appeares he misread the defense, threw to the wrong man as anyone can who will point to plays he did read/ throw to the right man. He is going to struggle, but to say he is different than last year, sorry, I disagree. So far, other than the Miami game, even then there were some, he has not shown touch, he has gotten "lucky" with several hail mary passes that his receivers fought for the ball against tight man, in one case, KC, against 2 defenders. Sure, this past game saw a few drops, but so far this year, these guys are making tough catches; they can be trusted. Lamar has not consistantly thrown timing passes, maybe two this entire season. He has the best amount of time, consistantly, that any qb has had here in a long time; without the need to scramble. Enough time to read, and make the right throw on time. My example is back in the KC game, in the redzone. Man coverage, slot to the left, Brown on the outside, Andrews in the slot. Based on the position of the db's, it was clear where the throw should have gone. We know for certain this was the play because Lamar looked center to left at the snap. The db on Andrews had inaide leverage, Andrews was doing an out toute to the side of the endzone, Brown, a simole comback route. If thrown on time, first read, it is an easy touchdown. But Lamar instead held the ball and scrambled. As I said, he should learn, this is just one play and we can go back & forth with plays to suit our side. But this is exactly what he was doing last year, and in college and also why, without seeing the all 22 film, I believe there were open receivers yeaterday on time, if Lamar had read properly and thrown on time. Maybe we just need to be more patient, we knew there would be days like that with this team, no one should expect a super bowl right, this team is too young and inexperienced. We need to just relax and right?

Oh it goes past today's game. Sure, he hit wide open receivers in the Phins game, but other than a timely throw in the Cards game and maybe one pass in the Cheifs game, he has plenty of time in the pocket, yet rarely throws any timing routes. He has only hit one pass on a deep out route, not that they have called very many. His looks for open receivers rather than reading and anticipating. Today should be proof of that fact. The running game was working, play action sucking up the linebackers and the Brows were down 3 of their starting 4 dbs. Sure one may be starter material, but all three? They were playing off coverage, perfect for timing routes, even for deep crossing routes which simply require a qb to read, throw on time. Just like qhen he took the pass to Andrews in double coverage, when Sneed was coming open on a deep crossing route, good for 20 + yards. This isn't the first game this year where he didn't read the defense and threw into double, tripple coverage when there was an open man. Sure, he is young, we expect some growing pains. But all we heard coming into the season was how MUCH he has improved his accuracy and reads. Other than the Phins game his yards and completions have come over the middle, and against prevent defense late in the games. He is a long way from where they claimed he was, so far, he is the same as last year. Maybe that will change, I hope so,

Jefferson had the green dot of death.... Good to see ya back Crav!

How fitting Billick get put into the ring of honor and the defense gives up the ghost... Harbs should go by mid season but he has something on Biscutt. Proof- Harbs lays the riot act on the defense after the wide open wr near the end of the half. Defense comes out of half time and gives up five more plays like that... This team has no discipline, too many in game mistakes by Harbs and his coaching staff, the players see it, know it and there is no accountability for him. Is it any wonder they play the way they do? I said this after the Arizona game, this team is not good enough to play with good teams, only bad ones. Why? Coaching, personnel moves and maybe even the one they tried to make but did not happen; 1 st, 2nd and player for an undisciplined player.. Hmmm They might win 6-7 games but this is not a playoff team nor is there any real reason to think they are close. This, with the league haing a down year with all the injuries to high profile players and retirements, rookie, first year qbs this year. Harbs, Wink, all the coaches need to go, burn it down, start over. There are a few good young players on this squad...

So is Lamar. Throws into double coverage (Andrews) when there is a 20 yard crossing pattern (Snead) abput to be wide open.

Lamar is not throwing on time. They sere playing off coverage most of the game even when playing zone. That requires timing routes and a qb qho can read the defense. The offensive line had a few issues, but mostly did very well. Almost 200 yards, 172, on the ground, gutting them up the middle and play action causing the backer to step up can't great an open man? I think not, I don't care what Trent Green said. 3 Nobodies in their secondary, new, nobody open? I think not This team will lose 3 of their next four, why? Discipline, they haven't had it since Harbs arrived, it has only gotten worse. Want to know what is really bad? The management team thought this defense was just one player away and was willing to trade a 1st, 2nd and a player to get Ramsey. Good thing the Jags don't want to trade him, yet. That was just idiotic on our upper management people, Eric....

I said this last year, no one wanted to listen to me so maybe now y'all will; this defense was not as good last year as their numbers appeared and now we see. Last year they were built on the offense keeping them off the field. This year we are reaping the "benefits" of so many undrafted players, over priced older free agents and a lack of discipline by their coaches and now them. They are over matched, a lack of depth, as I said during the off season, at the d line id hurting them. Lamar cannot read defenses, he simply looks for an open man. Wink needs to go, you heard me, this secondary is always out of position, dating back to when he took over. We thought maybe it was the players but clearly it is more than just them. The linebackers are fast but they can't cover, can't scrape, can't get off blocks, can't read a play; they too are terrible. This team might win 7 games, but next year will be even worse.

Im out, time to watch the clouds go by...
-
On a positive note, Burfect got ejected again for the Raiders. Time to kick that guy out of the league...
-
Game over
-
Keep gutting them You Shall Not Pass!
-
This has been consistent since Wink took over, hmmm
-
So Humphries, Carr, Avrett, Canady Thomas & Jefferson keep blowing coverages...
-
All out of position just like when there is a pass
-
4 missed tackles
-
Wow, how do you miss someone that big!
-
That commercial with the muppets was the best thing about this game so far... That should have been a super bowl commercial
-
He dirts the ball, not that it would have been a first down, it was so late it might have been a pick six
-
Why are you throwing it! Run the ball!
-
Gut em, keep gut'n them
-
Nice run for a glorified qb.
-
Well he completed one deep out route outside the numbers..m
