  1. I don't think he will be as durable as his cousin....
  2. Yeah, Henry has been a bust since he left college, as Williams has as well. Scott hasn't been consistent, but then neither has the person throwing the ball to him. Clarke showed promise one year but has never capitalized on that, he is always out of position and late to cover. Let him go...
  3. If Fitz gets time he can tear apart any secondary. Fitz gets hot there is not stopping him. Sure, their line is a bit weak, their defense not as strong, but the Ravens offensive line is still a question mark, the defensive line yet to provide consistant pressure without blitzing. Yes, it is a test..
  4. A pretty well played game, even with some stupid coaching moves. Why, why risk a guy with a bad foot on punt return in the 4th preseason game? Thankfully he didn't get hurt but also showed he can't return punts. Trace looked very good, which is what you want against players who won't be on rosters next week. The middle backers really worry me, they still bite hard on play action, they appear to have no instincts at all for neither play calling nor routes. Constantly in the wrong lane when in zone allowing easy big plays behind them. The reserve dbs, brother if they have to play, this defense is in trouble, they can't cover. The defensive line is once again deep & good. They need to be because this secondary is going to nee them to collapse that pocket and force quick short throws.
  5. Well, if Powers is the starter, it is an even trade off. Last night he showed good quickness pulling, good awareness in second level blocking and is pass blocking, with his head on a swivel picking up stunts quickly. However, he gets pushed back, gives up too much ground in man on man pass blocking. He does all right in run blocking at the very least turning his man, though not moving him off the ball. In essence, he needs to get stronger, which won't happen this year...
  6. Last year was an aborition, others teams fell a part, and as most teams did not have time to adjust to the type of offense the Ravens used. Now they have had plenty time, if Lamar can't throw the ball, this team is 4-5 wins....
  7. Well, keep an eye out tonight to see who struggles with waiters, plumbers, a ceo, rappers, ....
  8. He is the Jimmy Smith of the offense; a penalty waiting to happen. He never really played hard all the time, had the size and ability, he just never showed the heart.
  9. New England acquired offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor from Baltimore for an undisclosed draft pick, the Ravens announced. Cardinals offensive tackle Korey Cunningham announced in a now-deleted Instagram post that he was also traded to the Patriots. Eluemunor, a fifth-round pick in 2017, was Baltimore's starting left guard all spring but fell out of favor after failing a conditioning test to open training camp and being unable to stay on field due to injuries. When he got on the field, he lacked discipline, getting flagged frequently for false starts. Eluemunor has the size and versatility to play guard or tackle, but he hasn't shown the toughness to be a consistent contributor. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/27486307/patriots-make-2-trades-bolster-offensive-line?platform=amp
  10. Yep, Joe Bidden comes to mind... I've just never been a fan of somw directors, some actors/ actresses, I know if they are involved the movie or tv show is not going to appeal to me. Take the new runs of Star Wars, I hate em, I think some of the actors can't act and the cinematography is not as good, believe it or not, to that of the originals (when I was a kid).... But as long as they, the players & coaches, were able to relax and maybe grow a little closer together, it's all good.
  11. I've never raped a women nor took advantage of a women nor drugged a women juat to take advantage of her... Yes, I am a bit old fogie, true to my faith.. But still, some movies go too far...
  12. Good boys? Jeepers that movie looks stoopid, crass and a waste.. Hobbs & Shaw would have made good sense, action packed...
  13. Up to 2 players can be pulled off the IR list, but only after being on it for 8 weeks. Also, while on the list they do not count against the 53 roster until or unless they come off. It would, imo, be the best choice for the rookie, he has played well enough to be pulled off of the practice aquad to some teams roster. If they need him before that, they are in big trouble anyway. As Papa said, those last few roster spots are valuable.
  14. He steps up with open hands and either blocks a blitzer or scuttles out to the middle. Sure, big hits come in the open field, but nothing as many times as rushing head first into the los; why do you think so many linemen have concussion issues the longer they play.
  15. Yes but the hits are not as punishing as when running between the tackles.
  16. No, the FB position as it was known. Runningbacks are now being looked at much differently, as pass catchers, not just running. Gone or soon to be gone are 300 carry seasons, now it is about touches. If they can't run routes, catch passes they are pretty much uaeless in the league for the most part. So a player either has evolve with the position or be a one year player for x amount of teams never seeing that huge pay day, but making a nice living monetarily speaking.
  17. Good topic max. An example of how the game is changing, fullbacks, traditional, have by & large been moved out of the NFL. Maybe they should start a new union.....
  18. Yes he did, a torn kidney, shoulder, knee, ankle, foot... He said he has been in pain working through pain for 4 years and he just can't do it any longer. Reminds me of when Barry Sanders walked away, great player who saw life was more than money.
  19. Well, I guess I did not explain my self properly; sorry about that Spen. My point is that yes, they can fight for what they think they deserve, but they have a union and agent already to help them. There is no need to get a seperate union, that would mean another, seperate CBA as well. What, should every position have its own union? Players have choices in this league, fair, honest choices. As I said the best way to have a long career is by what a player does off the field, taking care of his body. If a runningback does this, he stands a chance to a long term player, look at Frank Gore, never got the monster deal because of all of his injuries. But he played many years and was very productive because he took care of him slef off the field and becuase his agent & union made sure he got good contracts. He made millions. Then you look at Iky Woods, great talent, did not take care of his body off the field, had a ton of injuries. How many years dis he play? Three.
  20. Just another young player who sees the older guys and the way they struggle physically, and does not want to be like that when he gets older. The grind to get in shape, to recover from injuries, which he had a ton of, was not worth it any more for him. Good for him.
  21. Per Shefty on Espn wow... Says he is mentally worn out. I get it....
  22. Health reasons, a lot of work and some would rather walk with out many limps when they turn 40. Good for him
  23. He might "get hurt" and end up in IR...
  24. So far they are all not very good at pass coverage, not in man to man nor even in zone coverage, they rarely drop back deep enough or quick enough. They bote too hard on play action and get lost in traffic in running plays. Sure, they are quick and speedy helping them on late blitzes.... But... Not deep enough on players so this could just be a move to add depth at the position...
  25. Worrilow, 29, provides experienced depth at the inside linebacker position, where the Ravens' top three players (Patrick Onwuasor, Chris Board and Kenny Young) have a combined 29 starts. Cut by the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, Worrilow has started 52 career games in five seasons, playing for the Detroit Lions and Atlanta Falcons. He didn't play for the Eagles last season after tearing his ACL in an organized training activity in June, and he was sidelined in training camp this year with a swollen knee. While playing college football at Delaware in 2011, Worrilow made headlines when he donated peripheral blood stem cells to help a 23-year-old woman with leukemia. He had signed up for the school's bone-marrow program four months earlier. ESPN: Source - Ravens intend to sign LB Worrilow. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/27445540/source-ravens-intend-sign-lb-worrilow
