  1. Yep, Goody acted as if this issue, domestic violence, just popped out of no where when it has been going on, just like society, since the league began. In his 8 years he had ample time to develop a good system to not only help the players, but implement a good discipline policy. As many reorters have said; he is paid $44 MILLION per YEAR to fore see things, yet now needs how many comitties to help him? Not good, not good at all Goody.... Were I an owner, I would expect a lot more from the person I was paying that much money.
  2. I can see Ozzie stepping down over this. Biscut no dout called the meeting to make sure Ozzie would go along, make it out that it is possible Ray & Janay lied to Goody. I don't see Ozzie, who is a sure bet Hall of Famer and stand up guy to go along with the cover up.
  3. Presser just ended; anyone remeber the song; "I'm your puppet"? nd if you watched, that person you heard screaming and flailing, ushered out the back door was Irsay ok just kidding, looked like some lost guy with a phobia of elevators....... But this presser was a joke, as many of the players have tweeted about....
  4. Goody makes a move, long over due... http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2204075-roger-goodell-announces-nfls-plans-to-aid-domestic-abuse-prevention
  5. Proctor Gamble has pulled out, nice work Goody......... http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/procter-gamble-backs-out-of-breast-cancer-initiative-with-nfl-domestic-violence-cases-091814
  6. Oh I know papa, my point is this. Goody and only Goody can put players on this exempt list. Now, he has put three players, one of whom in the pst would have been suspended, two others who would have been allowed to play, on this never known about list. Why? Only because of public out cry. By doing so, he opened hm self up and that of the NFL, to players now having the edge in their appeals of suspensions. The three players put on this list, could conceivably, fight being put on the list, fight not being allowed to play, based on how things have been done. Granted, they would be stupid and at least Hardy, ageed to go on it, as did AP. They both had the choice to keep working out with the team, not practice though, but utilize the facilities if they wanted to, but chose to stay away. This brings up another point; why are players of who are suspended, not allowed to do the same? They, if any one, need the support of the team, not to be abandoned. This has been a tipping point for many over the years, now Goody has given them a leg. The evidence is mounting that Goody is not doing his job well at all, he has just continued to make the league look bad with thse horrible decisions. Now, will he be fired? I doubt it, but he clearly should.
  7. He wasn't just cut by the Pats, he was suspended indefinately, correct me if I am wrong please..
  8. Up to this point, as papa said, he has done nothing and would have done nothing if not for the public and media outcry over the Ray Rice tape. He should have had programs set up to get many, many players help and instead he has lorded over the games, walking lines as if he were king. You are right, it is not his fault, but doing nothing but wavering in the face of public outcry is only showing players and non-players that they need to be smarted when they want to comitt a crime and not get it caught on tape or just hide the body. Currently, with now three players being paid to not play, he is showing them just fight it out in the courts, you may not get to play, but you sure will get your pay. As I have said on the Goody thread, the NFL is like any other business, they can hire & fire whom ever they want, for what ever reason, save the discriminatory reason. If the proof is there, suspend them for a lengthy time, not two games, not paid leave until you can figure out what to say to the media and general public. The media screamed how there were no females in high positions in the league offices. What does he do? Hire them, no black females, what does he do? Hire one all in the span of a few days... hmmmm Beer supporters are not going to give up on the NFL, they too are just postering for the lemmings. 1 more thing, these latest paid leaves are now opening the door for every player suspened including Aaron Hernadez, who has yet to be found guilty; due process huh? psss
  9. Another one arrested, but put on paid leave. http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/jonathan-dwyer-arrested-suspicion-of-aggravated-assault-arizona-cardinals-091714? But wait, for good cause, their seems to be a "time issue"... Did the NFl wake a sleeping giant, women making false claims? July? Wait, he admits the assualts happened, it "just wasn't him"....... Guess we have another NFL player who will be paid not to play, until the justice system rules.... Oh my, what a troubling time we are in,
  10. Things just got worse for Goody.... Player A (P) beats a child, admits to beating said child, gets placed on Exemption list. Player B (Hardy, har, har) get convicted of abusing a woman, twice, and threatnening her life (her beating was far, far worse than what Rice did) and he too gets put on the Exemption list. Players on said list are paid full salary and OOOOOOOOOOOO- ONLY the Comish, see Goody, can put said players on said list....... Rice has quite the case against Good & Plenty... Remember, he just wanted to; "get it right"....
  11. Max, Max, Max...... giving only the redzone stats? So far in two games the defense is giving, through the rest of the field, 4.0 yards per carry, on 22 attempts per game, 8th best in the NFL. QB' s are completing 62% of their passes for an 82 qbr, 10th best in the league after two games. Six passes over 20, one of those over 40. If there was a stat for missed tackles I could find, the Ravens would be in the tops for, most per game. Side note, the Browns have given up 11 over 20, 9- 20+, 2 over 40, so big plays should be there to be made, especialy since they have only 5 sacks in 2 games. Nothing earth shattering. They are giving up 5 yards per carry on the ground on an average of 28 carries per game. Should be a hard fought game.
  12. Here is a list of those known to be reinstatd as of now... Welker is currently working out with the Broncos. http://nfltraderumors.co/list-of-players-who-will-be-reinstated-once-agreement-on-drug-policy-is-in-place/
  13. I agree if there is not evidence. However, this is not a court room. If a player blows over the limit, there is your proof, if they, the player wants further proof, let the police do a blood test. Other wise, they should be suspended, they are already guilty. In Rice's case, proof of his guilt from a company stand point, was the video and his confession to the league & team. Suspend him right away. Hardy, the proof is there, photos, voice mail, text, suspend him right away. AP, proof is there in pictures and his admission he was the one who put those marks there; suspend him right away. Why does it need to be proven in court? This is a company, they have the right to fire for ANY REASON, this line is in every hiring contract for any job. I am tired of the excuse: the tester spoiled the sample, it was second hand smoke when you blood levels are way over the limit, when you have an ounce or two of pot in your car.
  14. He has been placed on the NFL exempt status. Relieved from all team activities until te court case is settled. If you get a chance, read the press release by the Vikes, sent out two hours ago, around 4 am; there you will find your laugh for the day.....
  15. It all depends on his level of pot. All players who were under the new limit and had a 4 game suspension or lower, will be returned to active status. (I wonder if they will get retro active pay).... As Grubber said, Gordon will go down to 10 games, not wiped out though, even though his limit will be well below the new standard, because 1) he is a repeat violator 2) lied and did not take responsibility for his actions, actually blamed the NFL... Hill, may get dropped down to two games if the math holds, or they could just cut his in half and be 3 game suspension. Since he too is a repat offender and we do not know the levels he had in his system, he might only have two games taken off...
  16. eh, sounds like he was spanking the kid and the child, hit his head on the car seat while struggling to get away. Side note, one hotel suspended their limited sponsorship of the Vikes, Radison, who only sponsor the banner behind their interviews.
  17. He has been reinstated by the team. According to Mort, a team can only deactive a player for punative reasons, 4 times per season. AP has seen a pschologist and says he understands there are other ways to punish a child. Vikes GM says (yes the GM, not the head coach, cough, cough Biscut) says they will wait for due process.... My only question is, why wait? He has admitted to doing this, why are you, Rick Speilman, not responible for passing judgement on this matter, why do you have to wait to make a decison on suspension, or not, for the courts?
  18. They said the same about Vick, he is still making much money and on a team. Have you see what Hardy was convicted of? Seen the police report, heard the 911 calls? Even after his conviction, and likely for a second time when his jury trial is over, he will still have a team to play for and he did far, far worse than Ray.
  19. Rice to appeal his suspension, and he will likely win based just on what we know. He is not going out quietly, nor should he. I dispie what he did, but dispise even more, people who go back on their word. If Vick got a job back in the NFl, for another $100 mil too boot, you can bet Rice will as well.
  20. Funny, not, ESPN is mute on the Goody subject. Last week, as late as friday, Mike &Mike were all over the Goody investigation. Today? They are singing the tune the NFl was last week; focus on the person who comitted the crime, not the investigation nor Goody... The NFL has very long arms....
  21. So Hardy was inactivated for this week's, I mean for TODAY's game. What made Jerry change his mind at THE LAST SECOND, of the SECOND week of games? Maybe, and likely, Goody got to him, letting him know that the outcry has to stop and it starts with the Panthers.... Guess it was a good thing they won without their pass rusher.... hmmmmmmmmm
  22. That depends on the level in his system. The only reason Gordon is likely to have his suspension reduced is because he had well below the new level, .30 or something. Note, reduced, not wiped out. Welker and the other guy had two game suspensions, reducing them is either to one, which they had already missed, or no games, which they will get reimbursed for the game check/checks they lost.
  23. We know the players, by majority want him gone. By default, the union as well. Now that the new drug policy was backed out of the NFL, after the NFl sent it to the union for a vote and it was approved by the players, me thinks the union and players have tobe realy ticked off with him. Two players still playing who did far worse to a woman and Rice did, the league's golden boy, AP, now arrested for what will likely be a plea deal with probation, how long will the NFl drag this out? He has admitted he did that to his son and while it was a spanking gone too far, it leaves a black eye, the NFl is running out of eyes to blacken, though blackened crapie is pretty good with a Biscut, they have to suspend him right? Or will they simply fine him? If they suspend him, will the union fight for him? This season is going to be "fun" for the league.
  24. Publically, 4, two of whom Goody turned a blind eye to when they, "strayed" away from the sheild of excellance...........
  25. An NFl player is no different than the average Joe. I've seen bigger guys working at Home Depot...
