They finally have balance on both sides of the ball, but as the fifth-oldest team in the NFL, is the Ravens’ window of opportunity to win a Super Bowl closing? It’s an interesting question posed by Jamison Hensley of The Baltimore Sun, who explained that the long-time foundation of the team – Ray Lewis, Derrick Mason, Todd Heap and Ed Reed – is aging. But a similar question was raised in May 2006 when Hensley reported that President Dick Cass put an actual time stamp on the championship window. That year, Cass told fans at Spring Football Festival that the window was two years. http://blogs.baltimoreravens.com/2010/08/09/late-for-work-89-ravens-super-bowl-window-closing/

I really wanted to go but I got 'Heat sickness' from working out in this all week. I might have to do something very hard and be responsible and stay inside until the headaches and weakness goes. This will be great for those who can't go to games at the stadiumor travel to Westminster. I'd love to see the new HD screen...but I will in about a week.

WESTMINSTER, Md. — Just as Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Anquan Boldin and his family thought they had moved to a more comfortable mid-Atlantic climate, summer arrived with attitude and record heat, reminding him of something he thought he had left far behind. Not the scorching temperatures of Arizona, where he spent seven seasons playing for the Cardinals. But the oppressive humidity of his native Pahokee, Fla., which is just north of Miami. "It's definitely been more like Florida, hot and muggy," Boldin said. "But I'm used to it." The rest

Hey, lets add Mason to the list Ravens wide receiver Derrick Mason sprained his right ankle late in Tuesday's practice. Coach John Harbagh hadn't spoken to trainers, so the Ravens haven't set a timetable for his return. Mason was helped off the field late in this morning's practice after being hit by safety Dawan Landry. With his arms draped over trainers' shoulders, Mason couldn't put any weight on his right leg. http://weblogs.balti...g_practice.html

Hope Channel 13 picks up the programming..I hated MASN anyway, all they show is DC bullshit

Except that he wasn't trying to lose the weight. If he wasnt trying to lose the weight, and lost 30 lbs, we'll then he better go make peace and tie up his affairs, caus he wont be here much longer.

UPDATE: Beck has been traded to the Washington Redskins in exchange for cornerback Doug Dutch, a former University of Michigan player. The former Miami Dolphins second-round draft pick was with the Ravens last season. He was competing with Troy Smith to be the third quarterback.

Gaither was on the field today for AM practice

Is there more to this Gaither illness? Additionally, in an attempt to address its depth at an offensive tackle position besieged by injuries, the team signed rookie free agent Devin Tyler. Tyler, 6 feet 7 and 308 pounds, played at Temple at Suitland High. He started 39 of his 49 career games with the Owls, playing four years at offensive tackle after being switched from defensive end before the 2006 season.

There is history to the system Cam Cameron brought to Baltimore two years ago that indicates this is the season Joe Flacco becomes a true franchise quarterback and the Ravens' offense goes from promising to prolific. It's there in the record books. It's Dan Fouts' 33 touchdown passes in 1981. It's Kurt Warner's 4,830-yard passing season in 2001. It's Philip Rivers' 65.3 percent completion rate in 2008. As the early part of Ravens training camp unfolds in Westminster amid Super Bowl hopes, it is prudent to consider the path — and the quarterbacks — Flacco follows. http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/bs-sp-ravens-offense-0729-20100801-31,0,6241843.story
