  1. So very true.
  2. I agree, the whole thing is rather silly. I havent heard that Joe has the 'deer in headlights look' and question if anyone has seen him play who says that. Could he, should he be playing better? Yeah probably. But deer in headlights, no. And my personal fave was after the GB loss I happened to be stuck somewhere with talk radio on. I was amazed at the number of people who wanted to throw Joe under the bus for smiling at one point during the game on the sideline. To many, sadly not just a couple, idiot fan callers that translated into Joe isnt a leader.
  3. I cannot say I really blame them. Not that the Pats are so great.
  4. I want bad winter weather for this game.
  5. I think its obvious something isnt working. Why Clayton continues to play so much I dont know. I'd like to see him moved a number of slots down the depth chart.
  6. Always good to make the playoffs, no matter how.
  7. I know, its easier to refer to decades as the 70s, 80s, etc...I was just sayin'

    Hey Cravn

Through a sea of alcohol..... Have a great day and great 2010, I am on my way to bed and I am sure you are just getting up. Ughh, better you than me, I'm a night owl, even 8am is early to me. Youre one of a kind and a good guy (and the reason I changed my login to Spen since you kept calling me that)and I hope you have a great year.
  11. I hope so too, and I hope you all have a great 2010!
  12. Well lots of people thought that the new century and millennium started January 1st 2000 too, but they were wrong as well. Here is one site that explains it, but there are a ton. http://wiki.answers.com/Q/When_does_the_new_decade_start So actually Dilfer only played 4 playoff games for the Ravens in this decade.
  13. Maybe they have a Visine© For Football Fans. Might be handy.
  14. Nope the decade actually runs from 2001 through the end of 2010. And youre probably going to drink more than 8 beers by midnight. Maybe some leftover egg nog?
  15. We also have another year before the decade is over. Who knows what greatness lies ahead??
  16. Dont forget his 11 INTs in those 8 games, plus his two fumbles lost. Every time I see large bits of the games he started, not just highlights, I am amazed even more that we won the Super Bowl. The fact that he was possibly the best QB the Ravens had between Vinny and Flacco, is not necessarily a good thing. Everybody hates Grbac, but his numbers are not much worse than Dilfers at all. I'm not really going to argue about him so long after he last played for us. He is a nice guy and he won the SB with the team. I just dont think he is a very good QB and dont think he was anything but below average with us.
  17. Everyone from the SB team should be on their except for Dilfer. They won a SB with a putrid Dilfer 'led' offense. Maybe put Jamal on their twice for that. Its not a strong group, but I guess the nod would go to Flacco at QB. No Ray Rice yet, he has been great this year but Jamal was good for many and without him we dont make it to the SB.
  18. And that's absolutley no reason to be stupid and cut a player the team may need.
  19. I like Joe but I wonder if he has had a bit of a sophomore slump. Some games he really looks like he has grown as a player, other games he hasnt looked good at all, often making rookie type mistakes. He has really looked bad both times against the Bengals, and the Packers and Colts too. (it was the Colts game where he threw the bad INT near the end across his body in the end zone on 2nd down, wasnt it?) I wonder how his season would be viewed if Ray Rice hadnt developed into the player he is. In some game it seems like Rice was the only target Flacco could find, not that that is completely his fault. I dont mean to be overly critical, I am more convinced now than I was last year that Flacco can be a good QB in this league, but if pressed I would say he may have had a bit of a slump.
  20. Why? Because his agent twittered that Troy wants to be traded so he can get to play? Would you rather a young QB who believes he can be a starter somewhere shut up and be happy about not playing? I dont think this is a big deal, and while I agree his agent could have waited until the off season I still dont think anything wrong was done. I certainly dont bear any ill will toward Troy. As much as Flacco gets knocked around I certainly wouldnt put Troy on the inactive list. It wouldnt send a message to him, it would just make the Ravens look like assholes. As for the Suggs package, it has worked well at times when they have used it. I am not sure how effective it would be if it were used every game. If they thought it was going to be successful I dont have a problem with seeing it more. If they just used it to keep Troy happy with a small amount of playing time then I dont think it should be used.
  21. One good omen is that the Ravens didnt really lose to any crappy teams this year. They beat all of the really poor ones. The Steelers might be the worst team that beat them.
  22. According to Tom Matte, the officials often review game films just like the players and coaches do and if a player has some games where he has been called for contact or interference the refs look for it and naturally may see more. I am not sure if thats true, and if so it isnt right (all players should be evaluated equally each game IMO), but thats what Matte says. The Ravens stunk today. There was a period at the end of the 3rd and beginning of the 4th where I said aloud 'this isnt even fun to watch'. There would be a good play, I'd get happy for a few seconds then the flags would be noticed. Very frustrating. I think Tomlin consistently makes goofy calls and Ben threw a very stupid pass (two if you count the one in the 1st half) but because of the penalty they didn't have to pay.
  23. As a team they should be ashamed of the way they played today. They consistently messed up and hurt themselves, all after they fought hard to get back in the game. With the season practically on the line a team cannot play the way they did.
  24. Yeah, unlike most coaches who are completely upfront and honest with every question asked of them.
  25. I hope it was great for everyone!
