  1. Not sure how it will affect our bill yet but our clothes are really dry coming out of the new washer. Its a longer, but supposedly more efficient, wash cycle but we must be cutting drying times by a 3rd.
  2. I just had to replace our washing machine. Out of no where it started sounding like sometime was inside it with a chainsaw while they revved a motorcycle. We went with a Kenmore.
  3. Darn. Great coach and cool guy.
  4. I don't see him enough to judge for myself what kind of signing it is but you're the only the only Steeler fan I know that seems completely happy with this deal. Time will tell I guess. M
  5. I am still working on my drawings, I mean schematics, of my space ocean pump. I figure the Kochs will throw some cash my way.
  6. Can the Kochs Hold Back History? http://www.nytimes.com/2014/05/09/opinion/egan-can-the-kochs-hold-back-history.html?_r=2 Some highlights: According to one study, the Kochs have already spent $61 million on various front groups dedicated to the flat-earth proposition that the globe is not warming. What this shows is that you can buy a lie, but you can’t make that lie the truth.
  7. Darn. Brach and Webb pitched well in long relief.
  8. I have not played it. Because its a prologue I will probably wait until closer to the actual game comes out next year.
  9. LOL I dont know. I just wouldnt be amazed if someone, not neccesarily a respected scientist, coming up with that idea. Think of the space elevator that some scientists think they can build. Find a way to add a pump and "problem solved".
  10. I am surprised I never heard any "scientist" who disputes man made climate change detail a plan to pump water into space if the sea levels ris too much.
  11. Have a great day!
  12. Can you run the ball or return kicks?
  13. Yeah, sad and scary stuff.
  14. I hope you find something quickly.
  15. Yes thats it. The arson inspector was incompetent. This part is fun too: A psychologist was asked to interpret Willingham's Iron Maiden poster, and said that a picture of a fist punching through a skull signified violence and death. He added that Willingham's Led Zeppelin poster of a fallen angel was "many times" an indicator of "cultive-type" activities. Psychiatrist James Grigson said that a man of Willingham's criminal history was an "extremely severe sociopath" and was incurable. Grigson was an expert witness for the prosecution in murder trials across the state of Texas. Prior to his death, he was expelled by the American Psychiatric Association and the Texas Society of Psychiatric Physicians for unethical conduct, the APA stating that Grigson had violated the organization's ethics code by "arriving at a psychiatric diagnosis without first having examined the individuals in question, and for indicating, while testifying in court as an expert witness, that he could predict with 100 per cent certainty that the individuals would engage in future violent acts" And when findings were given to prove the original conclusions were wrong or flawed good old Governor Rick Perry dismissed them as "junk science" and refused a stay of execution. Later, post execution, a panel was called to look at everything to see if mistakes were made. Good old Governor Rick Perry replaced 3 panelists when it appeared things were going to come back in a way he didnt like.
  16. A few years ago I read a pretty interesting book called "The Devil and Sherlock Holmes: Tales of Murder, Madness, and Obsession". It was basically a collection of articles a journalist published various places put into book form. One of them was about the death penalty and how relatively low qualified people have been responsable for sending many people to death row, mostly in rural areas. It mentioned how some detectives and policeman are not trained to properly analyze crime scenes and instead rely on folksy wisdom and common sense detectin'. The main focus of the article was on arson investigations. In some areas there is virtually no training involved and these people often determine whether a crime was committed or whether it was an accident. The main story was about a man named Cameron Todd Willingham (interesting read if you feel like looking it up), but there was a lot more information in the article about how inspectors deemed unqualified still continue to testify in criminal cases as expert witnesses.
  17. Thats not scary at all.....
  18. Cravn has a sponsor for his posts! Well done Cravn!
  19. Hope it was a good one!
  20. I never heard the term PTSD back then in regards to Vietnam vets but I always heard stories about returning vets having emotional issues and problems. WW2 vets too, you just rarely talked about that stuff back then. "Shell shocked" was both was a real physical ailment and also a term applied to done vets that were not the same when returning. Darkly funny / sad story: my grandparents lived next to us when I was a kid. My uncle lived with them all his life, always miserable and mean to them and most everyone else. He also had a stay or to in Psychiatric hospitals. The only time he was away from home was when he was in Vietnam. So all my life I heard how Vietnam ruined him, in some crowds it was openly spoken about. Well a few years ago my grandmother died and my uncle only lasted a couple years alone before taking a bunch of pills. Just a sad wasted life. Now the darkly funny stuff, to me at least. After he died I said something about Vietnam affecting him and my mother for the first time told me that he was unstable and 'off' before going to the war, when he returned people just assumed that's why he was odd so my grandparents went with that. All my life I thought it was the war but then heard stories of so many odd things he did before the war. He was convinced he had cancer, specifically pancreatic cancer, but any tests they did came back negative. He didn't drive so my mother had to take off work to take him to the doctor so she would hear them tell him he was fine. One day he took a whole bottle of pills and it killed him over the course of a full day. He had an autopsy and it showed he had large tumors on his pancreas that had begun to spread to his other organs.
  21. I hope it's a fun one, enjoy!

I am at work using an older PC still running XP and when I watch videos, even Youtube ones there is about a 40% chance my PC will crash. When it does, it takes forever to boot back up. However, I like Scarlett and havent seen that trailer and I am bored so I guess I will risk it.
  23. Maybe, I do think most anyone would have helped. I'm just goofing off here anyway, personal feelings aside, I think Billick would be a lock for the ring of honor. I cannot really muster much energy to argue for it. And also while the ROH is a nice thing, its not exactly an super exclusive club.
  24. I dont know, sleeping during Ted's meetings is a kind of buzz isnt it?

I read an article on Cracked, I know but they have serious articles too, where they stated that some scientists think we have 8 or 9 senses. I will look for it.
