Joe had his best year when Kubes was here. 1 year with him and now it looks like Trestman undid it all. I'm not saying Flacco is innocent of his crap play lately, but damn....do other teams face this much offensive turnover?
Crav, Kap and Dalton are heavily performanced based, I believe. Cap friendly. I think the argument could be made that Flacco needed a more realistic contract.
Per wikipedia: "During his career as an Offensive Coordinator, Mornhinweg's offenses have finished 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 9th, 10th, and 12th in total offense, and regularly highly ranked in big plays."
I would love to see our O coached by a legit coach, just to see if it was the coaching. Kubiak has been the most successful offensive coach and were just a stopping point.
I'd trade Machado in a heartbeat...if it meant solid pitching. I'd stop riding the Pearce/Reimhold train... This team was not supposed to be a contender this year. It took them until the end of the year to meet that prediction...
When your pitching isn't getting you over the 'hump', a move would be nice, but when he signs guys that are no better than what we have, why do it. That's my point.
