The projections are getting worse. This last quote has placed me in surrender mode. Like "I give up." We can't hide out forever....not 1-2 years. Basically nothings changed. They probably won't have a vaccine for a year. With the vaccine, and once 70% of the population gets covid19, then it may be safe and possibly over. 70% means I'll probably get it and you too. So....I guess we need to practice all the safety precautions, go out and work, and take our chances that it won't kill us or anybody that we come in contact with. Really not an easy scenario to accept....yet I see no other way.

Here's an upbeat article on some positive change in America....

Here it is 4/28 and it seems things are not getting better here in Maryland... There's all this outside pressure to open up businesses and try to get people back to work. I get it. I want to run free like everybody. I'm tired of being cooped up, yet it's not safe. It's going to be a long, tough time of practicing a strange new lifestyle until there is a vaccine. On the down side: I think this is only the tip of the iceberg. What's below the surface...global recession, famines, mass starvation, huge unemployment, migrations and wars. Looks like one long hot summer. On the up side: I can't help thinking that a massive shift for the betterment of all people will result from the massive change that we must make in how we live and view our relationship with all life and all people on this planet. There are inspiring efforts of service going on everywhere. People are connecting in empathy as everybody strives to work through this. We may not see the solution at this moment but it is there. Emerging. I'm an optimist. There is hope.

Too good to be true....yet it is.....

The biggest glaring hole on this team was addressed long term by drafting Queen and Harrison. Next was right guard, edge rusher, O line depth and D line depth. Check! Bozeman, a 6th rounder, is a good example of what the Ravens can do with Bredeson and Phillips. "No edge rusher pisses me off...but I get it." D line depth and rotation: Madabuike and Washington bring that along with players on the current roster. The D line will be good for this season....great, if only the Ravens had the edge rusher. If Ingram goes down week 3 or 4, the show goes on. Mark and Lamar are what makes this offense fly. No Ingram and there are problems.

It looks like the Ravens are getting A's for their draft from most of the media except for our good friend Mike Preston.

Here's the unofficial list. It looks like the competition to play center is loaded. Remember this? Vintage Ravens...

What I would like to see the Ravens do in the draft
vmax replied to papasmurfbell's topic in Baltimore Ravens
In time you will see that there were better players available....but who can tell right now? You have to pull the trigger when you are on the clock. Matt Wise @TheMattWise The @Ravens first three selections & where Daniel Jeremiah had them ranked on his board: 28: Queen 15 55: Dobbins 37 71: Madubuike 45 It's only one board, but I challenge anyone to find me a team whose first three picks provide such excellent value.#RavensFlock -

Here's the rationale for Dobbins..... This team keeps getting faster. Lamar will have his work cut out to get his timing down with these guys. If he does, then the Ravens could be putting up 21 points in 6 minutes like KC. -

Love the Harrison pick....force in the middle....Wink will have a blast using him and Queen. Also love that "Crying" commercial.... -

Duverney....speed kills. Looks like they want to morph the offense up to KC level. -

There certainly were more pressing needs than RB so I think the Ravens did not see the value in edge rushers or WR's at this spot....think Sergio Kindle and a ton of atheletic freaks that don'y pan out at the NFL level. The just let a bunch go...Kenny Young, Tim Williams... -

Madubuike...at worst right now....developmental depth for D line....then a starter next year. -

I was worried they might take Hurts. If Lamar goes down the seasons over. Glad the Steelers didn't get him. -

In essence the Ravens have 6 picks in the first 100. Eric must have seen better value trading back then standing pat. you never know....they may need the draft capital so they can trade up to get a guy they want. -

When Ingram got hurt the running game became average and was a liability in the playoff loss. It was all Lamar. They need this guy. He's go tJamal Lewis in him. Shows up in the big games. Also drafting Queen gives them the ability to make this type of pick because 1 serious hole was plugged. -

they need a pass rusher and O line help. Go for the trenches....that's where the game is won. -
