    Gaither to IR

Yea...it sucks. Healthy, he would have made this one nasty, powerfull O line He might be back...I don't see anybody who would want to break the bank for him. We forget this 2010 team is missing and has missed some key players in Gaither, Ayambadejo, Reed, Foxworth...Webbs just comming back, he's not 100%....this is some major losses and the team is still 4-2. Stallworth... You have to factor in this stuff when we inventory the team. They are doing very good all things considered. Hell...they're missing Frank Walker!
  2. For all the years we have been Ravens fans, the Ravens have never had a better QB and OC than Joe and Cam.
  3. I think Flacco can do better reading the field and going through his progressions but look at how well the ball is spread around. Year to date: RECEIVING NAME................ REC TAR YDS Anquan Boldin ........32 47 426 Derrick Mason........ 24 43 309 Todd Heap............ 21 36 259 Ray Rice............. 23 30 138 T.J. Houshmandzadeh... 9 23 128 For his first two years all he had basicaly was Mason as option #1 and Rice as #2. Heap was in blocking a lot. So maybe it's new for him to have this many options and he's on that learning curve. TJ's been here 6 games now...Bouldin's new. It takes time to learn each other and develop that 'intuitive' chemistry. Yea Joe needs to do better and I think he will. He's not a 'Brady' or a 'Manning' and probably will never be, but he's definetely good enough for this team to win championships.
  4. The Ravens know they should have won and they know how they blew it. We'll see on Sunday if the team and coaching staff got the message from this loss. If they did, then they'll crush the Bills.
  5. The Ravens coaches and players should read it too. This fan says...
  6. Yardage stats are way overrated....that's why it looks funny for them to be 2-4. But... The Chargers are actually #4 in defense yardage and #19 in points surrendered at 21 per game average. When you factor in they are #5 in scoring at 26.2 ppg you can see how 2-4 could happen...although it's still a head scratcher.
  7. They'll get suspended the next time.

    Concerns

You don't get to and win a Super Bowl by being timid. It's like Billick said about going into the lions den....that team screamed and fought for 60 minutes and never backed down. They fought. They wouldn't concede to anybody. This 2010 team and their coaching staff better listen to the one guy left who knows how to win in this league... "We are going home and then we are going to the bye week,” Ray said. “It’s going to be rough on Buffalo.”

    Concerns

You know who should be pissed off. Bichiotti. Yea.... the Ravens are 4-2...probably will make the playoffs, but Steve bought them a Mazuratti and they are driving it 30 mph.
  10. He get's to join Bart Scott and other notable Ravens...like Rex....who have helped the Pats win.
  11. Huh? Once he got off the roids he became an average Joe...a gimpy one at that. Pete agrees...

    Concerns

The Ravens offense is tied for 22nd in scoring. Webb got beat like a drum by Branch and Brady played him like a fiddle. I just made my 1st grade English teacher proud... 3 down lineman pass rush???? Sure...give Tom a half hour to find an open man. Where's Mt Cody? They can't get pressure without him...how about trying it with him? And guess what! The Ravens D is 17th against the run...20th in yards per attempt....and it hurt them Sunday. RB's we have never heard of, look like Ray Rice of 2009 against this 2010 D. Those stats have not been seen in this town in over a decade! Bring in Cody. It's the Bills...try it Matty. Ray Rice 2010 is missing something....bring back the 3 headed monster, in all it's ugly glory. If Ray is all there is to the Ravens running game, then stopping/containing him is all teams need to do to keep this offense from exploding. Take that away from them. Give Big Mouth McLain and Willis more touches...rotate them like you did in 2008. Find some punt and kick return men...the Ravens look sick at that position. Cam and Joe....you have to find a way to beat the zone and cover two....hint...the 5 thousand yard stare doesn't work. New plays will. Throw out the ones you have been relying on. Change is the only constant in life...well...trolling ranks right up there. Cam and Joe...when they stack the box...and that's really not that hard to see...it's ok to throw to one of your 500 career reception receivers....they actually can catch anything near them...in fact, they are better than most guys covering them...they will get the ball and burn the box. Harbaugh...make this the last big game where your guys show up timid with a timid game plan by you and your staff. That's not Raven football.
  13. He doesn't fit...it's just media speculation....trying to find him a home. The Ravens have plenty of LB's and DE's who can't rush the passer. Why add another one?
  14. I guess I'm comparing but I was looking more at using those weapons. There are there for when you need them...like in yesterdays 3rd and 4th quarters. No way the Pats could cover all 4...no way. "On paper" there is too much physical talent on the Ravens O so it must be something mental that is keeping this unit from breaking out.
  15. What would Brady do if he had Mason, TJ, Bouldin and Heap?...Throw in Ray Rice... Reel off another 18 straight wins? 19? So it comes down to Flacco and Cam IMO....
  16. Interesting.... as long as during games when they catch a ball, an involuntary bowel movement doesn't accompany the catch.
  17. Yea but Dee..."The Convoy" is a beautiful sight to see...
  18. Yea...let the season play out. The Pats might edge the Jets and the Ravens would have a chance to play them again in the playoffs. I'd like another shot at them.
  19. I'm luke warm on that. Ed can use a live action tune up....I think... play him if he's been 100% for the last two weeks or so. If not, than don't rush it.
  20. Yea...this Checkdown Charlie stuff has to go. Were the WR's unable to get open? Can't tell on TV. If they couldn't than good for Joe not forcing it and throwing INT's. This was not a great defense that they played...I can't understand not making a bunch of intermediate completions...not with 4 solid weapons who can flood the field. The running game helped in the 1st half but it sputtered when I thought they would take over late in the 3rd quarter. Special Teams had a bad day because of costly penalties and Cundiffs out of bounds kick off. That gave good field position and life to the Pats.
  21. They led for most of the game but not by much. When you let teams like the Pats hang around, you pay for it. Three offensive possesions in overtime and they could not get it done. Very disappointing. 4-2. "NO! Don't run the QB sneak Joe!"

    Week 6

Conservative gets results like this. Sloppy stupid penalties get the same results. This was a great opportunity to get a win...2 turnovers by the Pats...Joe has a good day throwing until overtime. The running game was not there today.
