  1. The Dallas newspapers reported yesterday that Texas Stadium is going to take out the artificial turf because the Cowboys play better on "grass". Q: What's Jerry Jones' biggest concern? A: Does bail money count against the salary cap? A guy took his blonde girlfriend to her first football game. They had great seats right behind their team's bench. After the game, he asked her how she liked the experience. 'Oh, I really liked it,' she replied, 'especially the tight pants and all the big muscles, but I just couldn't understand why they were killing each other over 25 cents.' Dumbfounded, her date asked, 'What do you mean?' 'Well, they flipped a coin, one team got it and then for the rest of the game, all they kept screaming was: 'Get the quarterback! Get the quarterback!' I'm like...Helloooooo? It's only 25 cents."
  2. "I got a chuckle out of this one..." An old cowboy dressed to kill with cowboy shirt, hat, jeans, spurs and chaps went to a bar and ordered a drink. As he sat there sipping his whiskey, a young lady sat down next to him. After she ordered her drink she turned to the cowboy and asked him, "Are you a real cowboy?" "Well, I have spent my whole life on the ranch herding cows, breaking horses, mending fences... I guess I am," replied the cowboy. After a short while he asked her what she was. "I've never been on a ranch so I'm not a cowboy, but I am a lesbian. I spend my whole day thinking about women. As soon as I get up in the morning I think of women, when I eat, shower, watch TV, everything seems to make me think of women," said the young woman. A short while later she left and the cowboy ordered another drink. A couple sat down next to him and asked, "Are you a real cowboy?" "I always thought I was, but I just found out that I'm a lesbian."
  3. "Three of Dallas' five losses have come to teams with defenses ranked in the top five (New York Giants, Washington and Pittsburgh). Let's go home honey...I don't want you around these Ravens..."
  4. Thread title should read: All Cowboys, All Day Leading To Historic Final Loss at Texas Stadium Ray, Suggs, Johnson, Ngata, Pryce, Bart, Reed and company don't give a shit about the celebration. They are going to wipe that stadium field with Cowboy ass's because this is what is between them and the playoffs. It's just business...nothing personal. "It's the Raaavvvvens!!!!!!!!"
  5. Don't fret just yet! Of course he could be lying to have the Cowboys guessing....but the Ravens would never lie...right?
  6. Now...when Romo comes out to for pre game practice, hold up the "T.O. Says Tony Homo On Sportscenter!"
  7. Get some hurry up offense in there...Joe's comfortable with that and it will gass the fat ass Cowboys. Then...Joe likes the shotgun...make him feel like he's back at Deleware... Meanwhile...Rex needs to dial up every blitz he got. As soon as Romo says "One thousand one..." BLAM!!!!!! Any Ravens fans that will be attending the game...please hold up signs like "Romo likes Witten and not T.O." in Owens face or "T.O. Not Allowed in Romo's Private Gameplan Meetings" and "Romo Privately Asked Jerry to Get Williams".
  8. Here's a new wrinkle from PFW... Just mentioning Grubbs...and we know Brown is a stud...then there is Yanda...and Gaither...this is going to be one bad ass O line for a long time.
  9. The best thing the Ravens have going for them is knowing Dallas is planning a big party at the Ravens expense. TheCowboys, Jones and their fans think that all night it's going to be a fun celebration. That is a slap in the face and I think the Ravens will go all out. The Ravens just need to arrive in their party mobile...
  10. What a BJ to Ngata. Shaun Rogers made the team as the third interior defensive lineman behind Albert Haynesworth of Tennessee and Kris Jenkins of the New York Jets. Jenkins has played like poop lately and Rodgers plays 1 out of 3 downs.
  11. The reality is that the Ravens have lost 3 out of 5 games against teams with winning records. Close games with halftime Ravens leads butwith some poor 4th quarter performances. They couldn't finish them. Maybe the 3/4 insane Ravens D will confuse Romo and his line. I hope. He has to play from his back or running for his life because the covergae will not last long IMO. I'm sure everybody on the Ravens knows what is at stake and will bring their "A" game and "A" gameplan. It will take an "A". Like everbody I want to see the Ravens have a fabulous end to an amazing season by making the playoffs. Like everybody I want to see them piss on Jerry Jones's parade.
  12. Mr Negativity has rented space in my head today. :o The Cowboys have to win to have a shot at the playoffs...plus all that last game at Texas stadium for Mexico's team stuff. They will be fired up...just like they took it to the Giants (who slaughtered the Ravens). If Washington can't play,m then the Ravens D is in deep shit. Walker and Ivy won't get it done. Samari will. The only D that will work is to rush/hurry/sack and beat up a gimpy Romo. Knock him out of the game. Attack, attack, attack. Our DB's are too short for this game...and slow to boot. The Offense will need to explode...I think 30 points worth....against a good D My Negativity has me seeing our playoff hopes ending Saturday night. I've got to get this MF'er out of my head! Help!
  13. I haven't watched the tape yet either so I can't answer that. I can say Ben had too much time to throw. I think what killed the Ravens was Washington was on the sidelines.
  14. Who's DJ Gallo? To me he's just a cheap whine. That's just sorry reporting and research. With 2 games to go, the Stealers D is already 27 points surrendered above the Ravens record of 165. Early in the year when the Titan D was smoking, some writer put up an article that they could be the best ever. He pointed out their low point's surrendered...that they wouild smash the Ravens record. They are doing good, but they have yielded 32 more points than the 165 of the 2000 Ravens D...with 2 more games to go. That record speaks for itself. There is no greater measeurement for the effectiveness and dominace of a defense than points surrendered. They are not even in the 165 ballpark. They might be #9 or 10...if they win the SB.
  15. Good topic. While at the game I thought it was conservative/safe to the vest. Why run so much and knock your head into the strength of the #1 D? Now it was basically a 50/50 run pass ratio. For fans who had that "shades of Billick" feeling it was because the Ravens would run on 1st and 2nd down...then it's 3rd and long...everybody knows what is comming. 3rd and long.... I heard Harbaugh last night and Viv this morning and they basically said the same thing. These plays were the ones that the Ravens coaching staff (especially Cam) thought would best attack the Stealer D....and the Stealers defended them. Plain and simple. Preston writes that the big play was there but Joe couldn't connect. If he makes a few of those throws then the Ravens win. In the redzone...the Stealer D is very tough...lowest point yielding D in the NFL. Hey...the Ravens O and Cam faced an outstanding defense....and came out on the short end. Much as it pains me...the Stealers were the reason the O stalled. They played playoff caliber ball. The Ravens did too. Neither team could score a TD. So in this respect, Cam's gameplan worked: With 3:39 to go, the Ravens were winning the defensive slugfest and the Stealers had to drive 92 yards...against the Ravens D....on a day when they couldn't mount any serious drives.
  16. Amen Ballt. This was Joe's worst game IMO but I will cut him some slack because this is his rookie year. In the future, for this team to be legit contenders, Joe will have to elevate his game against the winning teams and better defenses of the league. He will have to make those 2-3 big plays on the rough days when the offense struggles. I think he will get to that level. I agree with everybody about needing the legit tall, big play receiver. Joe would be deadly with that.
  17. Or the missed block that had Flacco get sacked...putting the Ravens out of field goal range. If they get a 1st down on that play...maybe it's a different outcome.
  18. 11 out of 28 attemps for 115 yards and 2 INT's. No TD's. On the plus side...I bumped into a girl with a uni-brow penciled in on her forhead...it's a Flacco thing...could be the next rage. I thought Joe needed to put this game on his sholders. The big play would deceide the game. He needed to make it because the running game was not happening vs the Stealers. Joe had time to make it. He just didn't.
  19. Well...it certainly isn't the Ravens. They have a way to go yet.
  20. The guys head is not in the game. No more do-do excuses.

    Question

Gary Stein on the radio just said the Ravens still control their destiny...meaning win out and we're in. That takes some of the sting out of todays loss.

    Question

What I want to hear out of this conversation is that the Ravens still control their destiny. They just have to win out and not rely on anything else. Can somebody tell me that's true?

    Question

We may not have to be Jets fans.... But wait...if the Pats, Phish and Ravens win out...Ravens are in due to tiebreakers...Right.
