  1. REALLY???? Cool,

My Cousin lives there and we spent a week there last May and went house hunting, we found 3 homes, 1 is gone(sold) I guess as soon as we receive the official contract, the following week we will be down just to give a it a once over..

My Dad lived in Oviedo about 20 minutes down the 417

Yeah - my girlfriend lives just past Oviedo. I'll be moving from Daytona closer to Orlando here in the next few months.

  2. Deltona..Its exactly half way between Daytona & Orlando, 25 minutes from New Symrna Beach

Of course I know where Deltona is. It's the residential area of Volusia county. I may be watching the Super Bowl there in a few minutes.

  3. NFL Defensive Player of the Year voting Name Team Votes Terrell Suggs, LB Ravens 21 Jared Allen, DE Vikings 14 Justin Smith, DE-DT 49ers 6 Jason Pierre-Paul, DE Giants 5 Patrick Willis, LB 49ers 2 NaVorro Bowman, LB 49ers 1 Charles Woodson, CB Packers 1

Noteworthy is that Suggs was the only player from the AFC who got a vote...

Jared Allen, Justin Smith and Jason Pierre-Paul (the three J's?) all split 35 NFC Defensive End votes... and Allen/Smith probably both had better years than Suggs.

Can't say for sure, but I think this is a factor.

I love Suggs to death, and I was rooting for him to win DPOY. But if I'm being realistic, Jared Allen is a better player and had a better season.

  4. I expect him to be gone far before the Ravens draft.

That may very well be true - but I also hear that he's being looked at as a 4-3 MLB only - whereas some of the other guys could play OLB or ILB in a 3-4, and DE/OLB/MLB in a 4-3.

He'll probably go top 20, but crazier things have happened with linebackers who are seen as limited (Dan Connor, James Laurinaitus, Sean Lee, Brandon Spikes were all early-grade 1st rounders who fell to round 2)

Either way, he's at least worth a mention.

  5. This might be a year where we look for a guard on the second day... a lot of these guys are good-but-not-great prospects... even the top guys like Glenn got beat from time to time at the college level... no can't-miss prospect like Grubbs was when he came out... but a lot of guys we can "coach up" like we did with Yanda.

I think I'd like to see us go MLB/rush LB/DE day one and two, then safety/guard/center on days two and three.

  6. Barron is a ball-hawk that isn't afraid to get his hands dirty... could be a star in the NFL... will probably come off the board long before we pick.

Mayock has Harrison Smith of ND #2, George Iloka of Boise #3, Markelle Martin of Ok. State #4, and Janzen Jackson and Antonio Allen of McNeese State and South Carolina, respectively, tied at #5.

I've watched limited Iloka footage, but he seems like a solid tackler at the position... will investigate further.

I really like what I've seen from Antonio Allen of South Carolina - good hands and ball skills, good tackler... will definitely start in the NFL. A lot of the rankings here will depend on how these guys run at the combine. Any of these guys who run in the 4.4 range will fly up the boards.

  7. The one thing that worries me with the Giants is that so many are picking them. I would like to see where the money is flowing in Vegas. IF it is all flowing on the Giants Vegas is not looking to lose money and the mass usually lose on their bets.

Everyone bet on the Giants when SF was favored by 2.5 too. And a lot of people bet them against the Packers. They're on the type of roll where they're backing up the hype.

  8. I've talked myself into it insomuch as I want to see the Patriots get embarassed. The fans kept talking about how they wanted a rematch for the sake of redemption... without considering how brutal it's going to be when they lose again. That'll just make the Super Bowl loss a few years ago look like less of a fluke.

  9. You could argue, but I think it would be a stretch. Harbaugh has done alot right to get everything moving in the same direction and I think that he needed to let everyone know that this wasn't going to be a coaching carousel. I like it, consistency. I don't like Cam, but I can't argue the success. So, in my eyes, until the success is no longer there, I really don't have the ground to criticize too loudly. I can nit pick, but that's just a waste of time.

You could also argue that Pagano had his problems as well, letting up points to Zona and Seattle while having no answer for SD. I prefer to look at the body of work because in any given NFL season you can find 1 or 2 games that just leaves a coach and team going......"What just happened out there?".

To be clear though, I was no fan of Mattison and I think him leaving had as much to do with the coaching position he took as well as the writing on the wall. He knew that Harbs was going to have to make the tough call. (Maybe not though, Harbs does believe in consistency as I previously stated.....hmmm now I'm second guessing myself lol)

Seattle and Arizona were both special teams-affected... David Reed and Patrick Peterson...

Against San Diego Webb didn't play, J. smith got destroyed in his "welcome to the NFL" game... (so did Arizona's Peterson by Hakeem Nicks, though, so no big deal)

Pagano wasn't perfect by any means - but his unit was a drastic upgrade over Mattison is my point. Hopefully Peas builds on that success.

  10.

There's a good point too. How many times you think a guy like Evans drops that pass? I'm betting not very many. I'm still intrigued by the field stretching capability that both he and Torrey could have if they both saw the field at the same time. You would think that would give Boldin alot of free time underneath to work his magic.

Yes - on PAPER, those three receivers, coupled with our two young and talented tight ends, AND one of the best pass catching threats at RB, should be one of the best units in football. It's too bad there isn't someone to blame for our offensive inadequacies...

  11.

Regardless if it was Cam's idea, it ended up being the right call, we won more games, beat Pitt twice, and went deeper in the playoffs. Those are facts. We also had a brutal schedule. We slipped against some easy teams, but what does that matter? The Pats didn't be a team with a winning record till they faced us.

You could argue that mattison leaving had more to do with that than losing Zorn. With Zorn we held a 2-score led on Pittsburgh and New England and blew the leads.
