  1. Nah, the season's stress is already biting ya!
  2. This thread was great. Crav and high hopes come through clear as day... as does the disappointment when they're dashed upon the texan dirt. lol
  3. Manning to AJ, Manning to Sanu, Manning to Marvin Jones! Manning to Tyler Eifert, Manning to.... cough cough wait, we didn't even try to get Manning when he was a free agent we got all star Andy!
  4. Doc: Can't figure out Bengals? You're not alone Paul Daugherty, pdaugherty@enquirer.com 9:41 p.m. EDT October 26, 2014 (Photo: The Enquirer/Jeff Swinger) The NFL breeds an infectious insanity that's liable to erupt at any time. If you bet on NFL games, you hate money. If you follow an NFL team, you deserve what you get. The league is in the business of making dollars, not sense. Does that explain Bengals 27, Ravens 24 for you? Let's hope so, because that's the best I can do. In football, you don't know nothin'. The home team dropped 27 on the best scoring defense in the league. The Bengals were comfortably ahead, then (almost) impossibly behind. They lost the game, then won it, then (almost) lost it, all in the last six-plus minutes. Watching this game was like riding The Beast while standing on your head. http://www.cincinnati.com/story/sports/columnists/paul-daugherty/2014/10/26/paul-daugherty-bengals-ravens/17972845/
  5. Bengals beat Ravens in gut-check manner Kevin Goheen FOX Sports OhioOCT 26, 2014 8:25p ET Aaron Doster / USA TODAY SportsAndy Dalton's quarterback sneak on fourth and goal gave the Bengals a 27-24 win over the Ravens on Sunday. CINCINNATI -- The last person a quarterback wants to see not faked out by a naked bootleg is Haloti Ngata. The Baltimore Ravens behemoth defensive lineman is much quicker than his looks would suggest. Andy Dalton found that out the hard way Sunday. The Bengals were by no means cruising against the Ravens in the fourth quarter but they were leading 20-14 and had picked up a couple of third-down conversions after the defense forced the first punt of the game by Baltimore's Sam Koch. There was six minutes, 49 seconds left on the clock and the Bengals were at the Ravens 32-yard line facing a second-and-6. This was the chance to close out the game. Then Haloti Ngata showed up in Dalton's face, forcing a fumble and setting off a series of events that took the Bengals from thinking win to putting their backs to a wall 80 yards away from victory against a defense that had allowed just one measly field goal in the final two minutes of a game this season. October hadn't been the kindest of months to the Bengals. Trailing 24-20 with 3:59 to go, things didn't look promising for a positive end to the month. http://www.foxsports.com/ohio/story/cincinnati-bengals-baltimore-ravens-comeback-win-27-24-102614

  8. Bengals focus on Patriots, not 'MNF' lossOctober, 1, 2014Oct 14:00PM ETBy Coley Harvey | ESPN.com CINCINNATI -- Wallace Gilberry, in his ever honest and matter-of-fact delivery, told reporters Wednesday that he wished the New England Patriots had won their game Monday night against the Kansas City Chiefs. Barry Chin/The Boston Globe/Getty Images The Bengals know better than to underestimate perennial AFC East power New England with Tom Brady, center, and Bill Belichick, right, still calling the shots. "Because you know they're going to come back out reloaded and hungry," said Gilberry, a veteran Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle. "We're definitely hungry, too. It's like two hungry lions trying to eat. It's going to be a fight." The Patriots (2-2) will host the Bengals (3-0) in a nationally televised game Sunday night that many believe could finally validate Cincinnati's place atop the NFL -- if the Bengals win. Several Bengals acknowledged Wednesday that while they were a little surprised by New England's 41-14 blowout loss in its trip to Kansas City, their perception of the reigning AFC East champion hasn't changed. It's still a franchise that has had its share of success in the last decade and a half. Together, Patriots coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady have won three Super Bowls. Brady also is a nine-time Pro Bowler, even if his play behind a patchwork offensive line in Week 4 didn't really show it. http://espn.go.com/blog/cincinnati-bengals/post/_/id/11699/bengals-patriots-nfl-mnf-week-5-focus
  9. Bill Belichick: Bengals are better this yearOctober, 1, 2014Oct 13:30PM ETBy Coley Harvey | ESPN.com CINCINNATI -- Bill Belichick has tracked Marvin Lewis' Cincinnati Bengals teams from afar for years. So the New England Patriots coach wasn't surprised to learn this week that Lewis' group ranks among the best in turnover margin and point margin. Belichick also wasn't too surprised the Bengals are 3-0 and in the discussion for being among the league's best teams. "They're very well balanced, very well coached," Belichick said during a Wednesday conference call with Bengals media. "They have explosive players and that's in all three phases of the game. They have a lot of good players and a lot of depth. They're sound." They're also playing the Patriots this weekend. http://espn.go.com/blog/cincinnati-bengals/post/_/id/11698/bengals-patriots-bill-belichick-marvin-lewis-better-this-year
  10. Cautious Bengals eye wounded Pats Posted 53 minutes ago Geoff Hobson Editor Bengals.com The Bengals aren’t buying that this is the end of King Bill I and Crown Prince Brady as the Patriots dynasty dissolves into the ashes of their offensive line or any of the other emerging narratives. As they prepped for Sunday Night Football’s matchup (8:30-Cincinnat’s Channel 5) in New England, the Bengals weren’t altogether moved by the Pats’ 41-14 loss in Kansas City Monday night. Or, for that matter, Belichick’s comments on Monday that called them better than last year and the most complete team he’s seen in a while. “I’d prefer for them to have won last week,’ said defensive lineman Wallace Gilberry before Wednesday’s practice. “To be honest. Because you know they’re going to come back out re-loaded and hungry. We’re definitely hungry, too. It’s like two hungry lions trying to eat. It’s going to be a fight.” http://www.bengals.com/news/article-1/Cautious-Bengals-eye-wounded-Pats/5be01e6d-c3be-49c2-85f4-a994dfb4442b
  11. FCC unanimously votes to eliminate sports blackout rules Unfortunately, the NFL's private blackout rules remain in place By Chris Welch on September 30, 2014 12:01 pm Email@chriswelch The FCC today unanimously voted to end its sports blackout rules nearly four decades after they were first implemented in 1975. Despite stiff objections from the NFL, the Commission has put an end to the rules that barred cable and satellite providers from airing games blacked out on local broadcast stations because they failed to sell out. But it only ends the government's rules. The NFL still has its own, private blackout rules in place with broadcasters like FOX and CBS, and those may still prevent fans from watching local games when tickets remain at the box office. Specifically, here's what the FCC says is the outcome of today's vote: The action removes Commission protection of the NFL’s current private blackout policy, which requires local broadcast stations to black out a game if a team does not sell a certain percentage of tickets to the game at least 72 hours prior to the game. http://www.theverge.com/2014/9/30/6873177/fcc-votes-to-repeal-sports-blackout-rule

  13. I know, the article didn't make much sense, but I enjoyed the title.
  14. Yes, the Cincinnati Bengals are the best team in football By: CHRIS CHASE 18 hours ago 13k shares SHARE TWEET EMAILShare this image: (AP) Can the NFL’s least-intimidating franchise really be the NFL’s scariest team? The Cincinnati Bengals haven’t a won a playoff game in 24 seasons — the longest run of futility in the NFL — but dominant 3-0 Cincy is playing the best football of any team so far this season. Maybe 2014 is the year the Bengals’ playoff skid ends. The Seahawks may be better. The Broncos may be more explosive. But right now, no one has put together a better opening month than Marvin Lewis and company. Share this image: The always-underrated Marvin Lewis. (Getty Images) Where’s the weakness? When Week 3 ends on Monday night, the Bengals should have a top 10 offense and defense. They’ve given up 33 points, which is the lowest in the NFL (with the exception of Carolina, who plays tonight). The team’s 80 points scored are second-most in the AFC, behind only Indianapolis. And no other team has a longer current home winning streak than Cincinnati’s 11. (No, not even Seattle.) http://ftw.usatoday.com/2014/09/cincinnati-bengals-undefeated-best-team-nfl
  15. As the last AFC team that's undefeated, I got two words for ya! SUCK IT! Haha, but in all seriousness I wonder how long it lasts. Pattys aren't doing much I think we beat them, the Colts and Panthers offer the first rough patch for the rest of the grueling schedule.
  16. Pushed the entire pile almost 10 yards for the TD!!!
  17. Gio bulls into the end zonefor a TD, no frills just strength, not worried.
  18. I don't think they do, but that's how the OC wants to run it. About to be 3-0 so Im not gonna complain. The real test comes after the bye.
  19. Sure they are, they just play like lil league. Ill still take the TD, and what better team to use trick plays on than the bad ones. Good practice.
  20. Last I heard the Titans are member of the NFL, but thats not the correct response! *ahem* Tuck fhat noise buddy! Wooo, TD!
