  1. Plenty of potential with that guy but seems to lack true confidence in his hands
  2. I agree on Pryor. But NFL network is push Buchanan. Fastest Safety in the draft but built like an SS. Had the most picks last year of the top 5 safeties. Ward is regarded as the best coverage Safety.
  3. Thanks for everything and hopefully he figures out how to duplicate 2011. It was time for a change for both sides
  4. I'm cool with Thursday games. It helps me get thru the week but I admit, I doubt I would attend any. 53 active sounds about right.
  5. 18 game schedule then I want a 60 man roster. I don't mind 18 games but we would need more players
  6. Too brutal for Brady the crybaby. He's great for this finesse era.
  7. LOL @ OS That McNabb thing is fishy. But I'm still glad Johnny U was recognized. Glad it wasn't Brady
  8. Lol! Wayne Fontes should be ashamed to waste that. Mr Ford should be ashamed for not firing him quicker
  9. I suspect that Barry had short area speed that was amazing. Most likely, if you broke down his 40 it was amazing from 0-20, good 20-30, and tapering 30-40. So if you have long speed and keep chasing with an angle to boot, you have a chance to catch him. P, I could talk Barry all day. Amazing player, we are all fortunate the Cowboys didn't get him or some other team that opened big holes and had a better coach than Wayne Fontes
  10. Just saying he had 4.4 or sub 4.4 speed. He got caught some but who has more 80 yard runs? Not many. Who has mor runs over 20? Nobody. He had a lot if opportunities to get caught. I love Jamal so I won't speak on him vs Barry. Apples and oranges.
  11. Sanders measured up at 5-foot-7 5/8, 203 pounds and ran the 40-yard dash in 4.37. ... I wish he was a little taller. ... Has Tony Dorsett-like ability as a runner, unbelieveable quickness (quickness grades above 80 percent). ... Great leg strength and vision. ... Can cut, stop and start on a dime. ... Has been very durable. ... Can return kickoffs (two for TDs in 1987). ... Oklahoma State seldom throws ball to running backs but he did catch ball well in practice. ... Great person, everyone from equipment manager to the secretaries brag on him. ... Should be a Pro Bowl player. - See more at: http://www.profootballhof.com/hof/release.aspx?release_id=1206#sthash.3TUQLavi.dpuf That's from Gil Brandt of the Dallas Cowboys. 4.37. But how many moves did he have to make before he could take off when he was a Lion. But check out at OSU.
  12. Above average. He got caught at the end of 80 yarders or 60. He didn't have long speed (100 meter sprinter speed) and usually made a lot of moves just to break the runs. Barry was 4.4 but I'll look for it.
  13. That's true too 82. Joe will be better too. Closer to that Super Bowl form.
  14. How big is Archer, thought he was a little guy. West is more of a grinder. From what I have seen, he didn't have a ton of huge runs. More chunk gashes than 50 - 60 yard bursts. But we are talking about a guy that will likely be 3rd on the depth chart. He'll get some run during Rice's suspension. Buts he's going to be HB3.
  15. Barry was more quick, change of direction, and burst. You're right about that but he didn't lack speed. He wasn't a 4.3 guy but he surely was well above average in speed. P, that's not to disagree with you. I agree, 40 times don't make a great back. Some guys play faster than they run a drill. But it's a nice luxury to have. That's all.
  16. Lol! Gentlemen, you won't change my opinion. If you can respect it, that's enough for me. I respect the fact you don't agree with me. While I understand what you're saying, I look at what he did without a lot of help and the fact that he still accomplished it. After week 5 it was bracket coverage. This yr I expect different. So I expect more. I'll revisit the subject after the season. If he doesn't show what I think he will, I'll be the first to admit it.
  17. He's no Jlew, I'm sure of that. Not one in this draft.
  18. Words definitely won't change my mind. But as I said, would you want to be without him? And I think he proves it to everyone else this season barring injury. But if he doesn't get injured and doesn't play up this yr then I might have to rethink my opinion but right now, I'll stand my ground. I hope you all are happy when he proves it. Lol! It'd be better for our Ravens.
  19. I do like this kid but I heard his 40 time wasn't great. But that's ok if he plays fast. The question is will he be around in the late 3rd. I think if he and West are both there when the Ravens are ready to pick a back, it will be a hard decision. Williams did have much better opposition. He ripped up my Noles.
  20. I agree. Lower center of gravity. Better balance and usually, to run people over you want to get lower than them while maintaining your forward lean and balance. Taller backs tend to run high. That's why they have more injuries. If a shorter back can carry the weight and maintain speed, it works well. 5-10 or 5-11 are good heights. West is 5-9 by reports.
  21. Not likely. Williamson is from Pittsburgh and he worked in the Browns organization. He rarely praises the Ravens. It's always begrudgingly if he does. He thinks he's not partial. So no, I really don't put much stock into what he says good or bad. Note that the Browns sucked when he worked there and no other team seems to be looking to add him but yet he's an expert. Yeah, no thanks to his views. Now if Ross Tucker had said this, I might take it more into account even tho I don't agree with him all of the time, he's impartial. Still wouldn't change my mind tho.
  22. P, I think we have to get him with that late 3rd rounder because I think our 4th is late also. I think it's so late, it's like a 5th round pick. I thought pierce was 230. If he's 220 then that's all the more reason to take a hard look at West. A lot of Ravens fans want a hammer, a Jamal but there's not many around that combine that kind of size, speed, and strength. Jamal was rare. Jamal ran around a 4.4 at around 240. If he was in this draft, he would be a late 1st or early 2nd. But I think West could be worth the risk with that late 3rd round pick .
