I think they will especially if they get a offensive weapon in the first. They weren't supposed to be good in 05 or 08 either. They had a lot of young guys get a lot of experience last year and they started playing really well towards the end.

That's not what I'm worried about but they aren't going to be reading this year. Right now we have Carter as depth and that's the only reason he is still on the team. He has had zero sacks in 3 years while getting a decent amount of playing time. We need someone this year not next. Development isn't a concern right now Beachum, Foster, Williams, Garvin, Mclendon, da beard, Allen, and Johnson are all late round picks or udfa but most of those took time to develop. I think they will take an olb late and most likely Shimbo from Note Dame but to say he is going to come in and be ready to be the top back up is a stretch. Sometimes you need a band aid for a year and that is what Harrison is. He knows the system, he is healthy, and him and porter will bring a much needed attitude back to the defense.

ummmmm Harrison was cut three times by the steelers before he was a raven. The steelers have had plenty as well but look at it this way go back 5 years and see how many of those late round picks and udfa are actually doing anything. For every one hit there's probably 10 misses for every team. You don't survive on the draft for as long as the steelers have without being able to develop talent. Harrison got lucky when porter went down and he exploded onto the scene other wise he would probably be driving a truck right now. OK and neither will anyone else we get at this point. They aren't using one of their top 4 picks on an olb. This will be a one year deal for depth. I'm pretty sure Worilds is going to get a long term deal and Jones is just entering his second year we don't need starters we need depth.

not true at all there were a couple instances this year of coaches on the field and the jets coach that tripped a player

From about week 8 and on. Some games more then other but I would say from week 8 on 60 percent of the time they were in it. It was stated later that they wanted to go with it the whole season but losing pouncey and signing a center in the first week derailed that train.

not true they will use the huddle some but they will mostly be in the no huddle. Bens numbers were average until they switched and he ended with the best stats of his career.

Ben really didn't do too much scrambling once they went no huddle and he had full control of the offense. I'm interested to see what happens when he has full control most of the time next season. He really did a good job of figuring out what the defense was trying to do. The line picked up but he is also a big reason he was only sacked 11 times in the final 8 games and most of those were from the huddle not the no huddle. I'm hearing whispers of the wanting to run the no huddle all game long next year. If this happens Ben is going to have a monster year.

That is right at the average. Next year they will be even younger once ike is gone. This team has gotten young in a hurry.

Not really considering the circumstances he didn't do horrible in Cincinnati. Everyone knew he was going to struggle in the 4-3 but he still had 2 sack and 14 hurries in 300 in some snaps that is not bad.
