Its going to take a roster bonus to get him unlike a signing bonus that all counts against this years cap. From what ive been reading its going to take a roster bonus of 15-20 mil plus he wants 8 mil and pretty much said balt would have to give him the best deal becuase he doesnt want steelers fans hating him. So your looking at 23-28 millions against the cap this year not spread out. If you offer him a signing bonus that doesnt remove the steelers from the equation. The only thing that could remove the steelers is an insane roster bonus. Only a handful of teams have the space for that i still think he ends up a steelers his agent and the steelers have been talking and have about a month left. Also the steelers are about 4 mil over and all the rumors have them cutting hampton kemo farrior or foote a. Smith and a few others. Plus ben troy amd harrison are all working on restructuring. The projected number is the steelers will be around 25 mil under the cap come march 15th.

I thought wallace was gone better also but he isnt. He runs flys and drag routes and uf the ball isnt right there hes not going to go up and get it or fight for the ball. Im not worried about losing him we could use the extra first. Brown does it all he will run all the routes go up and get it and fight for it. The last time we played i drink a little to much moonshine and acted really out of character. Crave knows me from a few ither boards and can back me up here in thats not me normally. He couldnt due to the torn Achilles. Hey was very out of shape. Think about hurting that you couldnt run or really do anything but bench amd little stuff like that. He really started to look like himself about hafway through thel season. I remember at the beging of training camp they were sure if he would be ready by the start of the season. Do you know if any ravens go work out with shaw. The dude seems to do amazing things. Taylkr is in his 30s and is still a 4.3 guy gays first year was last year and he looked a lot more fluid this year and farrior has been going to this guy for awhile and he is never injured nor is taylor.

I think the steelers are fine. Yeah we have age but troy couldnt work out last off season amd is supposed to be joining taylor with tom shaw in florida this off season. Our oline is very young we have a stable full of young running back. Heyward and hood have shown they can go as well. Throw in the contributions of brown and allen last year i think we are pretty set. The steelers actually had the youngest offense in the league last year. What was it 06 when everybody said the steelers were on the fownslide. Every 5 to 6 years this pops up but never happens. Im not sure slyvester is our answer to replace farrior but i think they fix that in the draft.

Am i the only one that thinks they should throw the rule book out when the steelers and ravens play each other. I mean keep the rules for the rest of the league but to keep a touch of real football they should let the steelers and ravens go

Reed is great and he could be the greatest ball hawking safety ever. I dont get into the troy vs reed debate for a couple reasons. They play different positions and they play different styles. Yes reed played ss to start his career but mostly has played fs and its like the rod woodson vs deion debate one is a hell of a ball hawk and the other is just all over the place. There for awhile you would be stupid to throw the ball within 30 yards of reed and when he got the ball in his hands look out. Troy is all over the place amd seems to make the huge play or amazing play when it is needed most. Any team would be lucky to have either one of them. Now pertaining to this list by their rules i think troy would fit in better back then becuase he is a talking machine. This goes back to the different styles of play troy has 3 less years and 20 some less starts then read but is already ahead of him in tackles but gas no chance of catching reed in ints.

Lewis number 1 overall then troy then ben. Its still a joke of a list but it is pretty cool reading what the hofers think about todays best.

This any era stuff is a joke. If they want to go through the 60s 70s and 80s and say these guys could play in any era but any player from today could play in any era. Harrison is the size of linemen back in the 60s.

I think lebeau is happy where he is at because of the bengals. I think being their HC ruined it for him and he would rather be a DC for a good team and a stable team then a HC of a crappy organization
