PAfin4life Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 I graduated with AQ Shipley and won a PA state basketball title with him at Moon... He is as straight a Pittsburgh guy comes along with his fellow teammate he is competing with Geno Gradkowski. Although I only met Geno at his sister Britney's wedding (my mother is very close with her)...Both him and Bruce are class act guys and both good ball players... Crave you have a weird pedophile type obsession about hating on Pittsburgh and everything about the city (at least you did on espn)....I just find it humorous that either of your starting centers will be of born and raised from the Burgh ....Pittsburgh bread Add them to the list of successful ball players that come from Western PA..... 1 Quote
cravnravn Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Really, is that all you can lay claim too?? Notice how many of the greats never layed roots back in that dump Unitas, born in W. Pa, settled in Baltimore, ya know the place everybody slams Marino, born in W Pa, settles in sunny Fl. These kids cant help where they were born, they cant help their parents were poor..If Pitt was such a nice area, dont ya think one would have settled back after their playing days were over? Quote

Their are a great number of ex Steelers that live in Pittsburgh throw in pirates and penguins as well that had zero affiliation with Pittsburgh until they played there. Why would stars want to leave where they played and lose a lot of the preferential treatment. O and by the way a lit do come back as well just not the huge stars. I believe Ty Law has moved back. If you ask them I promise you they will say they wouldn't have wanted to grow up anywhere else. Why would they when they got a jump on everyone else due to western pa football. Western Pa where pro players are made. Quote
deeshopper Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 It's not just the stars leaving Pittsburgh. 1 Quote

thesteelhurtin Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 Seriously though yinz better hope Shipley and his short arms isn't your starter. With McClendons height it will look like one of those cartoons where someone puts there hand on the other persons head and the other person swings rapidly hitting nothing but air. Quote
