That fan base is one huge bunch of LOSERS.

An opposing defense returned a misfired Houston Texans pass for a touchdown for the fifth straight game on Sunday, but at least this time it wasn’t Matt Schaub who threw the costly pick-six.

T.J. Yates took over for the embattled Texans quarterback after Schaub was injured on a Chris Long sack midway through the third quarter against the St. Louis Rams.

Fans had been clamoring for Yates to take the reins after Schaub threw a touchdown to the defense in four straight games (including three losses) and cheered in the stands and on Twitter when Schaub went down.

Update (5 p.m. ET): Texans players were not happy with fans for cheering Schaub’s injury:

Cushing calls reaction of fans to Schaub's injury "barbaric." Players very upset about it

Texans CB Jonathan Joseph had this to say about the fans who cheered: “They gonna do that, don’t show the (expletive) up.”

Ed Reed might want to get out of there....he made a mistake.
