dc. Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Like his father, awful with words. But the heart of that quote isn't as bad as it reads first. Papa, especially, shouldn't you respect that "going for broke" every year would mean tons of awful contracts you hate, ultimately hurting the team in the future? Quote
Spen Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Its funny, not really, because of who it is the comments bother me. But thinking about it without thinking of who said it, they aren't bad comments. It's a sound philosophy. 1 Quote
dc. Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Precisely, Spen. It's also not put well - especially out of context. But if it were in response to "Why didn't this club sign Robbie Cano?" ... No one would think twice. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted January 19, 2014 Author Posted January 19, 2014 I don't believe in going for broke to win it all but I also am looking past what spin I think is there. I don't think he will ever really try. Quote
dc. Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 I don't disagree. I just think the one line doesn't say it all . ... Quote
