RavenMad
Hurst was one of the OTs I wanted us to draft as early as the 4th round comp picks so I couldn't be happier that we have picked him up. I really believe he can come in and compete for the RT spot and at worst will be an IR stash for next season.
papasmurfbell
I noticed all the LB's. If I am an agent for one I tell them to look at all the UDFA LBs the ravens have developed and to take their offer.

papasmurfbell
I'm ok with it. It was BPA and you got it right, other teams left good defenders on the board for chasing all the offensive talent. The Best Players Available became defenders. We didn't reach for guys and let's face it, all of these wide outs won't make it in this league for one reason or another. There will be some studs but plenty of duds. I think we did want West but it may have been best not to get him. The pressure to succeed at home may have been too much. Lastly, after Martin, I'm not sure there was a RT better than we already have or could sign later (Winston). The Oline was horrible last yr but with a different center (Zutta), healthy KO, and a simplified Zone scheme , we should be better. Now I valued Oher but he had a bad yr so Wagner may have a better one than he did last yr. We will see how it goes but I'm good with it. We don't really do it flashy in Bmore. I trust Ozzie and crew. We are solidified on D for the future. We will be younger but experienced over the next few yrs. We will hit the offense more next yr and I expect to see Mellette make us feel okay about not drafting a WR in the first 3 rounds.http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/05/18/ravens-were-waiting-to-take-terrance-west/ Ravens were waiting to take Terrance WestIt’s been nearly 20 years since Baltimore stole the Browns from Cleveland. From now until pretty much the end of time, Cleveland will relish any chance to exact a measure of revenge. The Browns got one nine days ago, when they traded up with San Francisco to the 94th overall pick in the draft to snag Towson running backTerrance West. Via Cleveland.com, West said Saturday that the Ravens were ready to take him five spots later in round three.“They texted my agent and told him they were going to take me,” West said. “The Browns came up before them and I’m here now. It’s all about the Browns, man.”A native of the Baltimore area, West had been a Ravens fan. But he has quickly changed allegiances.“It didn’t really matter,” West said of Cleveland’s coup. “I’m looking forward to [playing the Ravens twice a season]. Can’t wait [but] I’m going to look at every game as the same. . . . We have a goal and that’s to win a championship.”The Ravens have achieved that goal twice since the Browns moved to Baltimore and changed their name.Baltimore filled its need at running back a round later, taking Coastal Carolina’sLorenzo Taliaferro with pick 138. The addition of Taliaferro, the desire for West, the arrival of Justin Forsett, and the presence of Bernard Pierce should invite speculation that Ray Rice’s days could be numbered in the town that bogarted the Browns.
