tsylvester Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Wow, I just heard the news, what a great coach he was... Swartz may become available, what hear you in the Burg? Did he resign because of issues in the front office? Who else, besides positional coaches are the fine folks in Stiller town looking at?
papasmurfbell Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 He is 77 yrs old. How long was he going to go for? I just respect what he created. He drastically changed D in the NFL for a generation.
tsylvester Posted January 13, 2015 Author Posted January 13, 2015 Resigns, not retired, perhaps the key words........
OutsideRzAcE Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Lebeau was great but didn't know when to call it quits....I think Tomlin and the Steelers brass wanted him out years ago but didn't want to be seen as pushing the old geezer out the door. They finally got sick of waiting.
tsylvester Posted January 13, 2015 Author Posted January 13, 2015 Looks like their linebacker coach, Keith Butler is the likely choice.
tsylvester Posted February 4, 2015 Author Posted February 4, 2015 He has been named, according to ESPN, the assistant head coach and in charge of the defense, what ever that means, for the Titans. I guess he 'just needed a change"..... hmmm
papasmurfbell Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 he isn't DC. I think he might be like Peyton's old coach who resigned as OC and then was hired back as a consultant.
