I could get in trouble for this....

Alabama safety Nick Perry is signing with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent.

Perry told The Baltimore Sun he's extremely excited to join the Ravens.

Perry had private workouts for the New England Patriots and the Indianapolis Colts prior to the draft.

Perry is a 6-foot-1, 211-pounder from Prattville, Ala., who operated in a versatile role for the Crimson Tide.

He’s played safety, nickel back and a hybrid linebacker position.

After playing behind Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Vinny Sunseri and Mark Barron earlier in his career, Perry emerged as a key player for Alabama last season with 80 tackles to rank fourth overall on the sixth-ranked defense. He also intercepted two passes.

Perry ran the 40-yard dash in 4.58 seconds at his campus Pro Day workout and performed well in positional drills. He also had a 33-inch vertical leap and a 9-11 broad jump.

Perry has drawn praise from Senior Bowl executive director Phil Savage.

Perry played in the College Gridiron Showcase all-star game.

Perry had a medical redshirt as a junior year when he had partially torn labrum and underwent surgery. He played last season as a fifth-year senior, taking graduate courses toward a master’s degree.

Perry entered last season with 41 career tackles, two for losses, a sack and four pass breakups.

Prior to the medical redshirt year, Perry played in every game in 2012 with four starts with 38 tackles, a fumble recovery, two pass breakups and a sack.

A four-star recruit and a SuperPrep All-American, Perry chose Alabama over Auburn, LSU, Vanderbilt, Stanford and Southern Mississippi. He had six interceptions as a senior.

The Ravens are also signing Michigan defensive end-outside linebacker Brennen Beyer, according to sources. The deal includes a $6,000 signing bonus.

Beyer was highly recommended by veteran Michigan defensive coach Greg Mattison, who's a former Ravens defensive coordinator.

The Ravens also agreed to a free agent deal with Sacramento State wide receiver DeAndre Carter, according to a source.

The Ravens met with Carter at the NFL Players Association Collegiate Bowl, according to a league source.

At his Pro Day workout, Carter ran a 4.43 in the 40-yard dash and had an impressive 3.80 short shuttle. His short shuttle is the fastest wide receiver time, and his 6.64 three-cone drill ranked second.

Carter led all Football Championship Subdivsion schools with 99 catches for 1,321 yards and a school-record 17 touchdowns.

Carter was a first-team All-American last season.

The 5-foot-8 1/2, 192-pounder also had a 38 1/2 inch vertical leap, a 10-6 broad jump and bench pressed 225 pounds 16 times.

He caught 64 passes for 934 yards and 14 touchdowns as a junior.

He was a first-team All-Big Sky Conference selection.

He finished his career with 207 receptions for 2,760 yards and 35 touchdowns.

The Ravens agreed to a free agent deal with Alabama linebacker Trey DePriest, according to a source.

The Ravens agreed to a free agent deal with LSU running back Terrence Magee, according to a source.

Magee chose the Ravens over the Atlanta Falcons and several other teams and received a $3,000 signing bonus.

Allen visited the Arizona Cardinals and Indianapolis Colts and had private workouts for the Cardinals, Colts, Seattle Seahawks and Dallas Cowboys.

The 6-foot-2, 241-pounder ran the 40-yard dash in 4.7 seconds at his campus Pro Day workout and three NFL teams had him at 4.66. He bench pressed 225 pounds 19 times and had a 31 1/2 inch vertical leap, a 9.6 broad jump, a 4.3 short shuttle and a 7.06 three-cone drill.

Allen led Division II with 15 1/2 sacks as a junior and was named All-American. He won the Gene Upshaw award as the nation’s top Division II lineman.

As a senior, Allen had nine sacks and 14 tackles for losses with three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries and 43 tackles and was named All-American again and all-conference and conference Defensive Player of the Year.

Oklahoma cornerback Julian Wilson agreed to terms with the Ravens, according to a source.

The deal includes a $9,000 signing bonus.

He met with the Ravens at the NFL scouting combine, discussing defensive schemes with secondary coach Chris Hewitt.

Wilson has prototypical size and speed for an NFL defensive back and was pursued by multiple NFL teams.

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound cornerback has 32 3/8-inch arms, 9 1/4-inch hands and ran the 40-yard dash in 4.47 seconds at his campus Pro Day workout and bench-pressed 225 pounds 15 times.

At the NFL scouting combine, Wilson ran a 4.58 and had a 36-inch vertical leap. Wilson trained at IMG Academy along with Penn State safety Adrian Amos (Calvert Hall) along with secondary coach Cory Robinson, the founder of Next Level Nation.

Wilson worked out for the Philadelphia Eagles, New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons.

Wilson competed in practice all season with Oklahoma wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham. The former Missouri star wasn't declared eligible for games after transferring from Missouri and declared for the NFL.

An Academic All-Big 12 selection, Wilson started nine games at cornerback last season for the Sooners before missing the Russell Athletic Bowl against Clemson because of an injury. He finished the season with 39 tackles and one interception.

Instead of drafting more Bama guys, he signs them undrafted... oye,,,, enough, enough with the Bama busts, drafted or not.....

We have only 1 draft bust from Bama. What's the problem?

CJ Mosley 1st round 2014 - Made Pro Bowl in 1st year.

Courtney Upshaw 2nd round 2012 - Has been a solid LB. He has career stats of 48 games with 132 tackles and 3 sacks. He is not a pro bowler but he isn't a bust either.

Terrence Cody 2nd round 2010 - Has been a bust. Worst thing we did was have him lose weight. At least when he was fat he was a space eater rather than just a big waste of space.

Le'Ron McClain 4th round 2007 - Was a long time starter at FB and was a multi use threat. Was an All Pro in 2008 and 2009.

Jarret Johnson 4th round 2003 - Played in a team record 129 straight games including starting 80 games. Don't think he made any pro bowls but I can't think of too many guys more deserving of a pro bowl nod.

Terry Jones 5th round 2002 - Played in 46 games before being cut and picked up by the 49ers. Had 50 receptions for 417 yds and 5 TDs in his career as a Raven. Not too bad for a 5th round pick. Wouldn't call this a bust.

Ozzie has been in charge for 19 drafts and has taken 6 Bama players of which 1 out of 6 has been a bust. But hey don't let the facts get in your way of a good Ozzie bashing.

I wasn't speaking of just the Ravens, but Upshaw is still a question mark. Overall, in the NFL however-

On an ESPN conference call Wednesday afternoon, Kiper said the play of past Crimson Tide defensive players in the NFL who have been high draft picks will play into his evaluation of Clinton-Dix and Mosley.

"It is something you have to look at because there have been a host of players out of that Alabama defense that over the years have come in as high draft choices and, frankly, been major disappointments," Kiper said.

Kiper listed Rolando McClain, Kareem Jackson, Mark Barron, Dre Kirkpatrick and Terrence Cody as examples of Tide defensive stars who haven't played up to where they were drafted.
