tsylvester Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Do your self a favor, watch this kid tonight against Bama. Prior to breaking his leg last year, he was on pace to make a big name for him self. Now he is back healthy, stronger & faster they say. Now he will go up against better coverage, at least a better defensive line to cause more pressure on the Ole Miss qb. This kid has all the tools, 6'-3" 220 lbs, quickness, "suddeness" as they like to say, speed and a huge catch radius with great hands. IF he comes out next year, he is likely a top 10 pick. I doubt the Ravens will have a chance at him, but if they did, they would be foolish to ignore him. Quote
cravnravn Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Good call T, fun game to watch too Quote

I would love to have him, quality kid on & off the field. I doubt, however, even if he is there when ever the Ravens pick, they take.... Quote
thundercleetz Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 @NealMcCready: Laquon Treadwell is making serious money tonight blocking downfield. Only Tunsil has more pancake blocks so far. @JoshHelmholdt: Easily the best blocking WR I've covered coming out of HS. Was recruitable on that trait alone, he was that good https://t.co/r4TuPrYGJd @TomVH: @JoshHelmholdt @NealMcCready I remember he even played DE sometimes in high school. Could do anything Quote
tsylvester Posted October 27, 2015 Author Posted October 27, 2015 Two sad facts. One, the ravens might be drafting too high to get him, unless they trade down. Two, they having a glaring blind spot for top quality recievers. Boy I wish they would draft him. Between him, Perriman, Ross and the tight ends, this offense would only be stopped by them selves.... or a piss poor offensive coordinator..... Quote

He's the complete receiver who could let Perriman focus on being a deep threat. He's my dream pick at this point. Tim, how would you compare Treadwell as a prospect to Amari Cooper? Quote

He's my dream pick at this point. Tim, how would you compare Treadwell as a prospect to Amari Cooper? Cooper is a smoother runner, more precise route runner. He reminds me of Jerry Rice. Coop is a decent blocker but that is where Treadwell has the edge. Coop is a bit faster, but Treadwell has better leaping ability and is stronger. Speaking of Cooper, Bama has a freshman right now with the same body type, but looks like he will be even better..... Quote

thundercleetz Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=14018352To freaking easy.Wow what strong hands and an incredible concentration. He pretty much caught that with his finger tips despite the DB batting at the ball. We need this kid in purple. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Don't forget the DB yanking his jersey for yards and still getting to that ball. Quote
thundercleetz Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Reading some scouting reports say there are concerns about Treadwell's explosiveness, which like Tim said, might make Treadwell a top 15 pick instead of a top 5 pick like Amari Cooper. Reports cite his subpar performance against Florida, which has NFL-caliber prospects in its secondary. Quote

Reports cite his subpar performance against Florida, which has NFL-caliber prospects in its secondary. Yeah, he will be a posession receiver in the NFL, with the ability to go deep. He is strong getting off the line of scrimmage, even against Florida, he had no toruble with press coverage. His biggest issue this year is his quarterback and the fact they now have two other real good receivers, Stringfellow being one of them. Another tall, big, strong handed receiver. Both he and Treadwell have great body control and concentration,as you saw in that clip, just one example.... Quote
thundercleetz Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 @TDavenport_NFL: Watched three Laquon Treadwell games last night. More I watch him, the more I see the Michael Crabtree resemblance . @TDavenport_NFL: Treadwell and Crabtree have same release at the line, both have strong hands to make catches in traffic and run well after catch.
