varaven45 Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 If we are looking for an athletic guy, someone to shut down LeVeon Bel and other AFCN threats, and become a D leader we haven't head since drafting Ray and Reed, we get this guy in the April draft. Yes, we need to give up a pick and sacrifice a 2nd maybe, but we draft this guy.

I want this guy putting the kabash on Bell and Brown and the R Berger. Unless we get a playmaker on D, these guys are going to own our defense.

varaven45 Posted January 9, 2017 Author Posted January 9, 2017 Yep, that's what we'll probably do and I wouldnt expect anything different. But if the FO wants a potential game changer they'll move up and get one. He might even be there at 16 or 17.

I am not sure about trading up that far for him when his teammate, a stud corner in the makes of Jimmy Smith but with more brains and natural skill, should be there when the Ravens pick.

varaven45 Posted January 9, 2017 Author Posted January 9, 2017 Rmaniac; don't see it happening either which is why, among other reasons, we are steeped in mediocrity for years. A guy like Peppers, much like Reed, Charles Woodson and Troy P, only comes along so often and you grab him. Instead, we will make the "safe" pick and much to everyone's chagrin end up with a decent 1st rounder like we've had the past decade. It's frustrating as heck watching a team with 0 guys that play like a Raven. It's time to take a leap, grow some and draft a stud for the future.
