tsylvester Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 Yippie, ok, not, but it is a start. No more score, commercial, kickoff, commercial. There will be a clock after scores to speed up when the ball needs to be kicked off (there is already a seldom used rule)... Shorter half times and a few other wrinkles... So instead of a 3 & a half hour game it will be a 3 hour and 25 minute game. Longer commercial breaks just not as many... http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/nfl-rule-changes-pace-of-play-speed-up-roger-goodell-announce-commercials-032217 Quote
tsylvester Posted March 22, 2017 Author Posted March 22, 2017 Oh, did I forget to mention, these changes are not set in stone, they will be voted on next week at the owners meeting... This was simply a letter to the fans on what "Goody" would like to see done based on all the out cry from fans (and dwindling viewership) Quote
tsylvester Posted March 23, 2017 Author Posted March 23, 2017 Another "rule" being voted on is for coaches to be allowed to challenge, via replay, every penalty called... Yes, that will speed up the pace of play. Quote
ravinmaniac52 Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 I have said from the start, if you look at one flag/play, you should look at them all. yes that would slow the game down even more so just do away with the whole thing. yes the refs do a very poor job at times. lets go back to a fumble is a fumble a catch is a catch. hey the qb is a football player also Quote
papasmurfbell Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 Get the computer involved so we can stop checking the spot of the ball. It is not that hard. Quote
